Caller had wrong person but kept calling and was rude and very unprofessional and hung up on me...no concern over their practices at all

Encountered similar problem concerning mistaken billing. Contact was markedly unprofessional and disconnected during a 'transfer'.

IMPORTANT: For those of you with a recurring problem with these people, the moment you can get an actual contact, demand to be put on their do-not-call list. If they persist, then you can fine them in small claims court for $500 for every call after this request.

Sorry, but the "Do not call list" only pertains to Telemarketers.

Spectrum calls me repeatedly asking for someone who doesn't live at my number. I tell them that I am not the person and the person doesn't live there, and they persist. I have experienced the same unprofessionalism mentioned here. In fact, when I complain to them, I get the sense that the phone is put on mute or something so they don't have to hear me.

What's really awful about Spectrum is that they have revealed private details to me about this person even though I tell them I am not the person. I am quite certain that once you identify yourself as not the person or even their relative, they can't discuss matters with you. But Spectrum has told me things about the person they're looking for.

We should all complain to the FTC about this company so that they will investigate.

also got this call,a miss white or wine(hard to understand her)left a message.No idea who these people are.Owe no-one money,probably trying to get personal information.after reading these comments,will not return call to number left-800-616-7833

I also experienced a recent phone call and was handled very unprofessionally. Their rep Cindy Hall was rude and unprofessional and hung up on me. As a matter of fact they even went as far as calling my mother in law by searching our last name and harassing her. I will be following thru with this issue.

You have to understand that this company is a legit company people call these lines to burp their worm and then get billed by them and try to play a fast one by not paying them i am one of those guys from which i regret dearly calling but now i am suffering the consquences i reported them to the BBB for threating me with jail and not accepting my payment plan then after fighting with them for a long time they accepted my payment plan NOW GET THIS I AM SENDING MONEY TO THEM TO FINISH PAYING THIS DEBT AND THEY STILL KEEP ON SENDING ME THE SAME BILL IM LIKE WTF!!!!!

I will not send them another penny untill i know what the heck is going on with all my payments. and yes they are very RUDE RUDE RUDE but what can you aspect they are chasing a bunch of perverts who dont want to admit to their spouses they called to whack off but they should not be threating anybody with JAIL NEXT TIME THEY DO SO CALL THE BBB

This company called us today informing us "they had finally caught up with us" and would like to set up a payment plan with them.  They said we gave them 3 different credit cards to pay for their services in 2007 and that they needed a current credit card number to process our bill.  They said we owed them over $700.  This is news to us.  We are reporting them to the Better Business Bureau STAT.

Cindy hall is an [***] I keep paying and they kept sending me the repeat bill so I'm calling bbb I'm not gonna cuss her out even tho I want to but this [***] got to stop now cause they is childish and rude and trust me I dnt pay nobody who is rude

Cindy Hall - very RUDE!  Why are they calling and keep calling for??? Scam!  WTF!!  Leave me alone!  Reporting them!!! They call back and say its a personal matter!  Then STOP calling a bussiness!!!

Mrs white from spectrum billing collectinos called my home for my mother in laws debt.  I asked her to remove my number from the acct because it had nothing to do with me.  She was rude & asked me to give my mother in law the message & give her her number. I told her i would do nothing of the kind because it had nothing to do with me & just to remove my number.  She would not let me speak to a supervisor,  would not give me her companies info to file a complaint, hung up on me w/o verifying she had removed my number. I will do research online & try to find out who these people are & they better not call my phone again.

These people have been harrasing me and make threats of jail and prison and felonies because my teenage son used the service and I refuse to pay and they also reveal personal info to me about myself and relatives even addresses phone numbers I have lived at more than 10 years ago and they tell me they are gonna contact my realitives to verify my sons voice wtf spectrum billing services

Keep calling even told them there was no one here by the they asked for, they just keep it up.  Isn't there law that protect us who are victims of these companies?  And I don't understand how they got my number.??

Even if there is a bill with them but they claim crazy amounts

Man look u have ur rights if but there's one thing never give out ur card information u don't do that cause there is a 50 50 chance that the debt collectors might steal ur money through ur bank and not just that they can even take ur whole money grand larcney that's a felony and one I dealt with cindy b4 and she really not. Kandice with Spectrum Billing Services called my parents home in reference to my ex husbands (ex for 7 years) debt. The rep Kandice was very rude and unprofessional.

Those are just these phony debt collection thats just desperate for money and one problem is if ya rude u aint getting [***] from me and i dont care if ya get mad but if these phony collection wanna play a practice act then sue them u can do that but cindy or whoever aint getting [***] from not even preferred. This place started sending bills at my old address no idea what it is for. I moved a few months ago and guess what the month after I moved they showed up at my new address. I tried to ignore them but one day I walked into my 6yr old daughters room ( it is her job to check the mail) I found some mail from the spectrum billing services ( the envelope said perrfered but I called the perrfered platinum company and they said that it did not come from them the address did not even match theirs). I was very upset it was porn not an advertizement and the envelope might say for adults but I have five girls all 6 and under they can not read but they can look at pics. I might have to get my girls some type of canceling after this. I called the company and the woman said she can not talk to me only my husband (she is sending the stuff to my house with my kids) so I had him call back to tell them to stop sending the stuff. He told her to talk to me cause he did not make the calls. She played a voice that was so fuzzy that it could have been a woman and said he used a credit card that was closed, we have never had a credit card. My husband would have asked me to call with him so they have another thing comming if they think I am going to pay a bill we do not owe and I will take the mail to the police because they sent it and I have small children I tried to tell them and they were rude and started threatening me. i need them to stop sending the stuff I have young girls in my house how do I get them to stop?

So they just called me and idk what to do. Yes she was rude and hung up on me. But there is no way that the bill is 384$$$$. Wtf
What to I do?
