- Twin| 8 repliesI'm guilty of making a few phone calls and a number called me yesterday from "adult entertainment" I think, with the number 1-800-999-7932, and she said that I owed $111 from October. After looking through my phone they had called 3 times with me answering the 3rd one but they never left any voicemails with the other 2 calls. I just canceled my last debit card and am currently waiting on my new one to come in but she said to call her back at 1-800-616-7833. Please help I'm having bad anxiety after reading reviews about these 2 numbers

This isn't customer support for a pay-per-call that you said you used.Quote:Please help I'm having bad anxiety after reading reviews about these 2 numbers....
You either paid the bill or you didn't...its really that simple.
So why didn't you resolve it while they were on the phone with you?Quote:....they had called 3 times with me answering the 3rd one...... - Twin replies to MikeHuntleton| 6 repliesSo should I just give them my info then? It's not a scam?
- MikeHuntleton replies to Twin| 5 repliesYou have yet to answer if you paid for the calls, so I can only assume it is not a scam in your case, since your saying you used the service. This number is for a pay-per-call billing company, so calling this number will resolve if you paid it or not.
You say your anxious because others are saying scam, but the others are also saying they never used the service or adult lines...but you admit you did...so whats the problem that is making you so nervous? - Twin replies to MikeHuntleton| 4 repliesNo she asked if they should use the debit card ending in the one I just now canceled. I would have paid and told them everything but I'm waiting on my new debit card and I told her that it would most likely be in by Friday so she told me to call whenever I get my new card. I was just worrying after reading all the reviews but I guess I'll just go through with it then whenever I get my new card
- MikeHuntleton replies to Twin| 1 replyIts understandable to get suspicious on calls these days, but most times a little researching can clear things up. I always go to the source, where I initially gave the info to be billed with and find out how they process things, then I am sure its with the right people I am paying.
- Kat replies to Twin| 1 replyWhy didn't you pay for the calls back in October? Then you wouldn't even have to worry if this call is a scam or not.
- Twin replies to MikeHuntletonWell thanks for the help. I do feel a little better but I guess I'll know for sure after this transaction. Safe to say I'm done messing with that kind of business tho
- Twin replies to KatI thought it would just go through on my debit card that was working at that time.
- TwinI just checked my old debit card balance and there are a few declined payments to those numbers so I'm sure that's what's going on
- Twin| 1 replyUpdate: used a visa gift card to pay and it went through so I apologize about my overreacting.

- Kat replies to TwinWhat difference does it make HOW you paid? You paid them without mailed proof of the debt so for all you know, you paid scammers.

- CharityThey just called, and asked for me by name. They used a reference number to call back and it is important, bla bla bla. Her name was Candace. I have all my bills on auto pay, I don't owe anyone money, so I'm not calling back. The fact they didn't give a company name is a dead give away. From research, this is a scam company tricking folks into paying for debts they don't owe. They called my mom's landline which I haven't used as my number in 20 years. The only call I will be making is to the state attorney general's office. DO NOT GIVE THESE FOLKS MONEY! They are a fraud.

- Charity replies to RyanIf they have your name, they can Google and those info sites give names of your relatives. It's a scam! Don't pay them, don't answer, don't call them back.
- Karen ComstockThey called me, and they were looking for my daughter and her husband, because they were concerned about charges recently made on their credit card. Spoke to my daughter she has no such credit card through them. Not sure how they knew to call me, scary.
