They should wait 30 days past due date like everyone else to start harassing for money.  If you havent paid by 30 days after due date then you are a deadbeat and deserve to be bothered.  Most of the loans the banks are trying to collect on shouldn't have been made in the first place. The banks were too greedy and now the govt is breathing down their necks and the banks are scared they cant pay back what they borrowed to loan! Quite ironic isnt it!! Gotta luv America!

If Consumer Services wants to spend their revenue and profits calling people and mailing to people, then that's their problem.  You have no business calling people scammers, though.

Everyone on this page that reads your entry knows that the only two normal reasons you would be on here is because you either received a call yourself or you're affiliated with Consumer Services.

Calls at least 3 times a day!  Just received 4 calls today!  We will not answer this call for any reason.

They always call about 8:10am or so and then again just before 5:00pm.

I got a call a few days ago and they just left me this number.  I listened to the prompts and got connected to a representative. This is definitely PNC bank, call the number. The automated answering service ID's the company as Consumer Loan Services.  This is a department in PNC Bank.  It contains their collections, title servicing and bankruptcy departments.  PNC Bank has purchased numerous banks over the last few years, most notably and most recently National City.  This list of Banks also includes Peoples and RIGGS.  They're not scam artists, if you have a car loan from any bank whatsoever and you get this call, I'd call back.

I continue to get harrassing phone calls from this number.  Its belongs to a collection agency that works with specific financal institutions.  Although I pay bills electronically and they are never late.  It takes the bank 3 to 5 days to process the bill. Obviously these folks are seeing the payment no posted in that time frame and assuming late payment.  This just started a few months back, ist just collection agents trying to make a commission on payments.  They are very agressive and usually wrong (especially in my case), Just change all of your phone numbers and force them into manual contact (letter), that way you have documents for each of ther contacts.  If they get out of hand, go to your attornie and have him/her file a class action suit, these agressive tactics are against the law. These folks can be fined.

    "F" PNC Bank
Have never missed a payment with PNC on auto loan for 4 years - loan nearly paid off. I get calls and harassment 48 hours after due date if payment not received (2-3 calls daily). I get it - piss us off we will be incentified to pay early. B*ll8Hit! If I am paying my bills and have never missed one, F-off! PNC is making their money from me (interest), that's enough. Doesn't entitle them to harass my family with calls for no reason. These people are heartless, thankless [***] period.

It is PNC.  My bill was due 11/17/09. I just got a letter in the mail today.  My payment HAS been made and in addition, I already paid the next months bill in advance.  They STILL call.  I called the 1888-PNC-BANK to make sure the calls weren't scam calls, and they transfered me to this guy who talked to me like a scumbag dead beat and told me I needed to pay my bills on time, then they wouldn't be calling. That they were going to start calling BEFORE the grace period.  Grace period? What does he mean by that? It's due the 17th of the month, and they are ALREADY calling for NEXT MONTH!!!  I'm closing my accounts after over 15 years. It's my understanding that if you owe them ANY money at all, you will be called every day regardless if your payment is on time or past due. I have 22 missed calls on my cellphone right now.  At work I have 5 missed calls. If that is how they are going to do business, I'll just pay it off and never deal with them again. It's not that much anyways. Not all of us are in foreclosure, laid off, etc, but isn't it BANKS that are the sole reason people ARE in FORECLOSURE and LOSING JOBS?? I have never been talked to so rude in all my life.  I'm so upset.  I pay my bills!!!

In my case, it seems like the bank reports my account to them on the 1st of the month every month.  The grace period lasts until the 15th, and they get paid before then, but not much before.

If I ever get out of the hole I'm in, I'll never deal with another national institution again.

And I agree, if you are on this board, you either got a call from them or you're working for the one placing the calls.  There is no other logical reason to be here.

We've been getting phone calls from this number at least 4 times a day starting at 8:30AM. When we answer there is no company name and the automated message says please hold for next available, blah blah, blah. After holding for over 5 min and listening to annoying hold msg that doesn't ever say what the company is we hang up By the way, we do have a PNC loan that is NOT past due and is paid by the due date autmatically every month. I think it's one of those scam calls that we've been getting aver since we got our new phone number.

They keep calling the company i work for and as soon as i answer the phone, they hang up. every time! and this has been happening for 3 times a day for 2 weeks. i called the number back, and the guy who anwered said that i need an account number for him to help me.  i told him this was a business and we do not appreciated them calling and hanging up. he said he couldnt help me.  so now when the number comes up, i hang up right away. so then they call back immediatly.

800 642 6323 is for CLC consumer services. They service loans (both secured and unsecured) 2nd mortgages home equity loans, car loans etc.  They service PNC Bank as well as ETRADE, and a lot of other big name financial institutions.  When I was there they serviced well over 10 different banks.  The people processing the recieved payments get incentive bonus' for processing over a certain quota of payments, so I can assure you, no one there is taking 5 days to process a payment.  what happens is with online payments, your bank doesn't belong to the ACH program, so what happens is when you make a payment online, your bank just fills out the check and MAILS IT FOR YOU.  Believe it or not a LOT of banks are way behind the times and don't subscribe to online banking as the future.  Another thing, when your bank is purchased by another, example PNC Bank bought National City, your loan/home equity loan/vehicle loan etc. undergoes an account number modification so that it works on the purchasing banks system.  I know several 2nd mortgages I worked on had been bought and sold so many times that I literally couldn't find the original contract in the system.

Instead of just ignoring the phone calls and coming on here to complain, you could try ANSWERING the phone and having a RATIONAL (keyword there) conversation with these people.  If you are polite to them, they are polite to you I have found.
