Received an email from Radiology Consultants, PC.  Link provided to click to pay

Received a text on 5/10/21 supposedly from West Texas Radiology Group “regarding my medical balance”. Click on link to pay or call 800-657-2514. No bill ever received in the mail and I thought it odd a business would send a text. Think it’s a scam. The text actually came from this number: 682-226-7506.

Got an email stating that it was an electronic statement for services from my local hospital's radiology department. This 800 number was in the body of the email to call for inquiries but I called my hospital's billing department instead because I knew I didn't owe anything and wanted to see if they had a bill for me.  They did not.

Received a text to.call this number to pay my radiology bill with a link to click to pay. I have never received or heard of paying a bill with a text message on my phone. Something is not right

I returned call & spoke with a so-called 'Ram' who gave me a PO Box address to make pmts, didn't give her card info but she gave me amount balance of $300 to pay via a check & arrangements for further payments. Wow, how strange - I will check with Radiology here to oppose harassment & apparently a scam! At my visits I asked for my pmt co-pay required & was told they don't do the billing.

I just had an MRI and thought that it was weird they would text to collect.    I was right.  Thanks

Text message about a radiology bill. Strong suspicions of a scam. If they really want my money, they'll send a paper bill.

They sent a text message saying that I owe a "medical balance" LIES! What a bunch of scammers

It's a hard lesson learned...

Text said I owed a bill.  In the text was a link to a payment site.  That's what tipped me off-it was too weird.  Showed a statement number but it was not a link-couldn't pull up a statement.  And there was no amount on the front screen.  Guess you have to give them more info before they tell you the amount.  Definitely scammers.  The call was actually from 682-226-7506 as someone else said previously.

Received an email with a link for services rendered with my local hospital. The issue is that the layout of the online "statement" is so messed up that I can't decipher what Medicare paid. I want to see an actual paper bill.
