I believe this is legitimate.  On My United Health Care Portal it said I owed the same amount.  I looked up the number 800-657-2514 and found this website:  https://radiologyconsultants.net/locations/

Website went up in 2005 and expires in 2026.  No scamming company would have a website up that long.  The link does take you at a radiology group that lists the different places where they are.

Got a text from (682)657-7506:
"TGH Imaging is reaching out again as a final courtesy notice regarding your medical balance. To view/pay, please click: https://sms.click2pay.us/pay/02082024193500_488360, or call: (800)657-2514. To opt-out, reply STOP. Thank you"

Called TGH and they said I have no outstanding balance.

Interesting.  The website went up 4/14/2017 and is set to expire in '27.  That link does take you to a site that has that company name on it where they ask for your name and DOB.

Text stating final payment due from a pathology lab in Boise Idaho.a pay on line link in text and 1 800 602 2514 number  No paper billing previously received.insurance showing pathology covered by insurance.

I received the following text and went to the website. It seemed legit at first so I input my last name and birthdate (I know, dumb) and it said there was an issue. I’m guessing they want me to call the number, then they’ll ask security questions (which I already gave them the answer to) and then get me to pay some non existent bill. Messed up that they’re scamming people who are going to see a doctor and are possibly already in medical debt.

They are also in Lakeland, PA as of 10/30/24... when I got a text from them...

Yes, medical places, just like any other business need to get paid to stay in business.

Got a text just like everyone else this time it was for North Shore Pathology.  If you call the number the automated voice says "Thanks you for calling your physician's billing department..."  People suck.

I received the same text with the same 800 number to call.

Just now got this text:

Just above it, outside the message itself but on the header it says I am texting with this number:
682-226-7506

I don't recognize either number and when I look them up it does not match the name of the business: pathologist medical laboratory.

When I look up pathologist medical laboratory in my city it shows as being in the same doctor's Park as my eye doctor, however in a different building. And cannot in any way shape or form be related to my eye doctor's office. They took no samples so there would have been nothing to send out. It was just a standard yearly routine eye exam. I have doctor's appointments every single month for years on end since transplant, I have never received any bill from this place and I've never even heard of this place before. Sounds like complete and total scam to me.

Have you even considered that the text was meant for someone else, but it was sent to the wrong number (yours)?

A quick look on the web shows that the domain "Click2pay.us" was registered 8 years ago and that it is used as a self-serve payment portal for MSN Healthcare Solutions, a legitimate company that (as stated on their website's About Us page):

They do billing for various medical care providers and (like any large company) the occasional mistake happens (like sending a text to the wrong person).
Even if you follow the link, you would not be scammed, you cannot even get past the landing page unless you know the last name and birth date of the person the text was intended for.
