Caller id: "TOLL FREE CALL"  Call blocked after one ring by our phone service provider.  Sad they've been using this number to scam people for almost 10 years and haven't been stopped.

Thanks for posting. It helps many people using different methods to avoid these type calls.Gives me grins to route this particular number automatically to a DTMF digit one, (to be routed to an agent/Indian (profanity expert)), then  give them a long recording, then several seconds of silence.

Asked for number of card or social.

I accidentally dialed a missed call. The robotic voice wanted my account number or my SOCIAL SECURITY number.  How obvious a scam is that? This is a dangerous caller. Why can't these people be stopped?

Well, first of all they have to be found to be stopped and as the majority of these type of calls originate overseas that's a little difficult. Second of all, you can stop them. Just block their number and voila! They're stopped.

I called Sears mastercard’s 800 number on the back of my Citibank Sears card and the personnthat i spoke to assured me that this number was NOT a number associated with citibank sears card.

Says sears credit cards but it's one of those lower your rate scams.  I asked how they could do that when I have a zero rate.  They're going to give me money back.  That will be right after pigs fly and Warren and Trump make nice.

left the following voice mail:

This is an important message regarding your current credit card account. We have made several attempts to reach you. This is your final courtesy call before we are unable to lower your credit card interest rate. I've read here it's Sears but I do not have a Sears card and I highly doubt this is from Sears.  Might be a "scammer" spoofing Sears number to look legit?

Got a call on my Delaware cell phone today 10-10-18 @ at 11:54AM EST. I did not answer it and no voicemail was left. I did not block the number but created a contact to see if they call again and will log it if they do and maybe again write notes here.

The man was very rude. Said he was going to cancel my credit cards because I was lying to him.

Because the lobbyists pay off legislators, and the "phone company" gets revenue from both you and the scammer.

Called my cell phone this evening. No message left. Blocked the number.

Sears Credit card? Seriously? Like they are worth anything now. Scam. Blocked.

Didn't answer these holes. Can this trash not be stopped.  They must get some hapless souls to give them their ssns.  Can be shutdown but the telecom industry is greedy.  Too bad.  Happy Thanksgiving!!!

December 4, 2018, 12:11 PM - female credit card robocall from 800-669-8488, Unavailable. I answered, and heard a familiar female robocall which said:

"This is an important message regarding your credit card account. We have made several attempts to reach you.  This is your final courtesy call before we are unable to lower your credit card interest rate. Press 1 to speak to the member services department, or press 2 and your eligibility to lower your rate will expire."

I pressed 1, and stated the date for the recording, and heard 2 Indian guys talking in Indian language, while I said "Hello?" every few seconds. Eventually the call disconnected

I just got a call from this number 800-669-8488 saying that they had been checking my credit card history and that they have made several attempts to contact me about my credit card use but I don't have a credit card,  I called the number back and it happened to be Sears credit card services. So done one us using their number Ilegally , something should be done about these automated callers, I for one get tired of getting them!!

My phone rang once and I saw this number with "SearsCreditCard" on the caller id.  But since my anti scam caller service blocked it I was not sure what was going on.  I do have a Sears card so logged in my account and I did not see any bogus charges and my payment which was due today was already scheduled to go out today.  So could not see any valid reason they would be calling me.  I came here and saw others were getting this call so I have to conclude it is a scam.  I will keep an eye on my Sears account.  If they need to reach me they will have to use another way as I don't  trust this phone number.

What an old tired scam. Card services. The first time they called I asked which credit card company and they said Visa MasterCard- they didn’t even know those are 2 separate competing companies or that they don’t use one bank. Indian call center just trying to scam credit card numbers
