this just has happened to me....the same thing...i just disconnected.  just wondering why?

I got a call from this number at 10 am....almost exactly an hour later my husband got a call from this number as well... No message left either time.

I got a call from this number and I let it go to my voice mail because I screen my calls, they say it was a survey an they had nothing to sell and if I had a land line to press 1. I can only imagine that they are offering a prize and to collect it enter your land line #. Once you do that then you will be receiving lots of these calls on your land line. Don't be a sucker, nothing is free.

Got a call from this number just now, didn't answer. My phone said the incoming call was a forwarded call but I don't have any call-forwarding set up.

Received the call Sunday Apr 12 2015 @ 12:44 PM EDST on my Rogers network cell phone.

Its a French Canadian market research company named ASDE. They are exploiting a loophole in the CRTCs' "do not call" registry where they are allowed to call if its "solely for survey research".

So really all you can do is add the number to your "reject list" (Android phone) - might be a similar feature on iPhones.

Got this call at 13:37. No message left.

'They' are still at it - got the call while in a meeting ... did not answer ... quit ringing after three rings.  Checked the number out later - thanks to those who identified it.  The number is now on my 'reject' list.

Just received a call from this number, didn't answer. They didn't leave a message....

Nobody is giving out you're numbers, they call randomly. Meaning a random selection of numbers is put together. The reason they do this is because research can't be biased in any way. If they only called people who wanted to do surveys the data would be very skewed. They're not doing it to bother you, they're doing it because it's their job. I do this work for my job, it's a thankless job, but somebody has to do it. It helps make policies, the polls for the news, expands markets (eg. McDonalds coffee in stores because of a survey). I also think some surveys can be fun.

ROFL...if your "very private" cell phone number is on twitter and facebook,it like anything else you post there is not private at all.

I don't like calls like this either, but then think of all the different statistics I read about, quote and have discussions about and then realize something: without these people calling and taking survey's we wouldn't HAVE this info to talk about...

Halifax NS 8:35 PM - I did not answer, They left a message saying they were calling from Gatineau PQ doing a survey with 1 question. I guess they didn't notice I'm on the DNC list.

Got a call 9 AM this morning ,get one a week I never bother to answer, no caller ID. I have a Rogers phone an am on the no call list.

Received the call on my cell this morning ,sent to voice message but nothing left.

If your phone has a block list i suggest that to stop the calls. I have slowly created a pretty big list
