called my cell. no message left. no return call option. spam

Received a call on my cell at 10:04 this morning. I wasn't near my phone when they called so I missed it. Checked my voicemail and message was blank. Will know not to answer if they call back. Can we complain to the CRTC for calls like this if we're on the do not call?

The call must have been a voice message because it was given to my ROGERS message service, who transcribed it into an sms and forwarded it to me.  Here's the message...

"J 8 Y 4 B 6 toll free 8006728150 this will only take 30 seconds we are doing a national study in Canada and I will ask only one question I have nothing to sell in your home do you have a phone line which is not a cell phone if yes please press 1 if you are a cell phone only household press 2. To repeat the question press 9 in your home do you have a phone line which is not a cell phone if yes please press."
"To listen to your Wireless voicemail message click on the attachment."

Needless to say, I did not click on the attachment.

FYI people... telemarketers outside of Canada, do not have to abide by Canada's  Do Not Call rules.

A good thing to do is contact all your telephone service providers and make sure you withdraw ALL your permissions for them to contact you with promotional offers.  It's best to do this right from the get-go, but now is better than never.

They called me and I missed it so I called back and iy gives you the option to enter your number in their do not call list. Funny because I'm registered in the national do not call list.

Got a call from this number on my cell - didn't answer - obviously another sleaze-bag telemarketer.
Called ID indicated Gatineau, Quebec.   WT?

This is why they called you. It's legal, but they do maintain their own DNC list. You can contact them to let them know.

I let it go to voice mail. The robot repeated a bunch of instructions in French that I did not understand.

The do not call list only works if it is a telemarketer...if you do some research on it before signing up for it you would know this.. Market research is actually for a purpose.

I think this may be a collection agency calling numbers hoping tio find idiots who will play a long with them

I just got a call from this number in french it's like a survey if you have a landline or just a cellphone..what a bulshit

I just received a phone call from this number. It says that "it's not to sell anything" but that they're doing a survey and calling from Gatineau Quebec, however on my call display on my cell phone it says the call is originated from the US. The survey takes 30 seconds, question is do you use a cell phone only, press 2. If you have another phone and it's a land line, press 1 and then it disconnects once you make a choice.

Got the call but sent it directly to voicemail since it showed a 1-800 number. Voicemail was silent when listened to the message. So robot was waiting for a response before starting it's pre-recorded message

Got a call today at 10 AM from this number, I knew it had to be some kind of scam. I rejected the number , blocked.

They've called multiple times even after I asked to be removed.

Just got a call  from +18006728150 that phone call woke me up im working night and im waiting a very important phone call from my boss i hang up as soon as it wasnt him

Got 2 calls, after the first missed one, I searched up the number and found this website. I'm going to assume it's either a telemarketer or some random robots. It called on June 9th, 2015 at around 1pm. Second call left some voice-mail.
