I was the same with me...

Called my Toronto cell at 8:00 p.m. Caller ID just said 'United States". Disconnected after 2 rings - so a robocall. I never pick up anything with an 800 number or without a valid caller ID

I believe that there may be remedies at law for annoying phone calls....I AM NOT A LAWYER....I did my own research and found the following laws may be applicable...

Just got a call, I don't answer 'funny numbers' and there was no message. I put it on my reject list.

Received a call from this number with a long recorded message. Hung up before it ends.
This is from a survey company called ASDE. Their phone number posted on their website is 1 (888) 323 3651.
Call them and give them a taste of their own medicine.

ASDE. Recorded voice of (some woman's name) "from Gatineau, Quebec. I have nothing to sell. This will only take 30 seconds. I have only one question." Then I hung up.

Received call from this number to my cell at 7:07pm.  Don't know how they got my number as it is rarely disclosed.  So didn't answer.

Got a call from this number on my Virgin Mobile cell. Caller ID just showed the number and "United States". Glad I checked here to verify. Added to block list.

Called my phone on Bell network at 5:14 pm, didn't answer. No message left.

Called my cell twice; no VM left

no one signed up for this crap.They want to do market research and call peoples cell phones and waste our time and our money and they expect us to just go along? for free? your as ignorant as they are.

did not answer as I suspected it was Spam, looks like telemarketing but how do they get my number? i never give it out

Called my Rogers cell at 5:25pm Saturday. Didn't answer.  No message.  Google led me here.

Struggling as I am with spam calls to my Virgin Mobile PayGo cell account, your comment “added to block list” is more than intriguing. Please share exactly how you block phone calls. Virgin can stop text messages but inexplicably says it cannot keep unwanted phone calls from gobbling up a subscriber’s minutes. Thank you in advance!

Others have said they assign the number to a contact list of similar unwanted numbers, and all are set to go immediately to voice mail so that their phone never rings.

I don't know if this will prevent a call, from a known unwanted number, from using a minute of your time. As there are many scammers, and some change their phone numbers frequently by spoofing, you might have to upgrade your cell phone in the future when you run out of space on your current cell phone.

Some people have complained they have a call-blocking phone on their landlines and its 250-number block list is nearly full.

Thanks to William & EJ... think I understood your suggestion but for me it entailed calling Virgin, not always an easy communication task. The rep took the calling number that‘s been a nuisance—scammer for sure. Supposedly, next time it calls my cell, there’s a quick switch to voice-mail. We’ll see, but appreciate your help!

The phone number in my case was being directed from the United States....It is "Survey calls from ASDE"....Ignore them.........Is the best medicine.

You can have your name removed from the survey company ASDE by calling   1 (888) 323 3651
