Called 3:44PM on 8/28/07. - sol kesslara very officius sounding fellow, who stated the uber importance of my returning his call. hahaha
- Pat replies to Who KnowsThis number is for Delta Management. They are a collection agency. Could be for unpaid student loans.
- sol kesslar| 6 repliesanother"urgent" time sensitive call.i didn't know i could save the world. His name this time was"KEN NUTLEY". His Bastahn accent gave him away. I called him back and had some fun, (don't be intimidated, relize they have no power to do anything)reminding him along the way that he was merely a desk jockey chasing someone else' supposed debt. That shuts them up. 1-800-688 6337 x-211 call them and have some fun

- Rcgtiger| 2 repliesSame as above, called and left a message that "Its important I call ..Ext ?"
My question, important to whom? (Not me for sure)
Called from a different number and asked "what is this company", I was told if I gave them my phone number, the one which they called......... I said "I am asking a simple question...what is this company? are you a job application? are you a Trucking company?" Response was still "If you give me the phone number we called......." I hung up.
Yup, collection!
Send em a letter telling em they are prohibited under federal law from calling you and all correspondence is to be in writing. Ah, the sweet sounds of silence!- Call type: Debt collector
- ST99| 1 replyCalled my job and harrassed the people who answered the phones when I wasn't around. Left messages on 2 different numbers threatening & saying it was urgent to call them but never said why nor who they were. They also requested salary and other info from my human resources dpt. I found out the company by doing a reverse lookup on the number. When they call the number appears restricted.

- Lori| 1 replyI received a call from this number stating "this is not a telemarketing call" and call 800-688-6337, using the reference number that they gave me.
I have received several calls in the past from a "restricted" number and if I answer it is AES. AES was very professional and helpful...I recommend speaking with them to help clear up your situation before it becomes more brutal.- Call type: Debt collector
- A H| 2 repliesI kept getting calls from this lady at like 0730 in the morning. It was for student loans, I paid her $150.00 and that shut her up for a few days but she was determined that I call her back so I did, after hours, why not she calls me before normal hours, then i didnt answer for her the next morning and had my attorney call her. She doesnt call my house anymore, she calls my attorney's office. I know that this company has bought my student loans for about a nickel on the dollar, so now all i really owe is like $2000.00 but this lady has no idea that I know this. I think that is what I am going to tell my attorney to settle for and then I will be clear of it!

- EdwinPure dingbats! They called and wrote us saying they were trying to collect on a student loan. Let's just say my education came courtesy of the US Government so it was hilarious right away. Then they quoted "Public Law" and said some number. It's obvious they have purchased old debt from heaven knows where and then try to get you to at least reply to them by attempting to scare people. I guess it never crossed their minds my education was free. Now they're going to garnish my wages. I gave my paperwork to my lawyer and asked if he would write a letter. Oh yes, they also have my name wrong as well. My lawyer did say he would not mention my "real" name as they didn't need that information. Before they did this they accused me of being reported as abusing my children in a state on the other side of the country. Since my daughter has children of her own I figured it was attack of the dingbats part one. Every time we get a letter or call for this weird name we know it's the same idiots. Word of advice..do not give them money because they will never go away. They have purchased out of date debt and the only way it is of value to them is to collect on the debt. They have no legal recourse whatsoever!!!! They're trying to scare you and don't give them the satisfaction. Check out the lawsuits against them on the internet! Crooks!!! Don't let them upset you!!!! Hope this has helped someone!!!

- MaryThis isn't just student loans it's a scam. I've never had a student loan or have any close family that has but they told me they were collecting on a student loan. Have my name wrong as well. I have received a number of letters and calls with the wrong name so I ignore them now but they have tried everything from telling me I owed hospital bills to student loans and all have been debts I never had. I was even told they had a hospital bill for my daughter and I don't have a daughter. They're just debt collectors trying to freak people out and scare them. They were going to garnish my wages but I haven't had a job in over 20 years so I have no idea how they plan on doing that either. I guess they don't realize they can be sued if they try to garnish wages without a court order etc. I guess it's just scare tactics.

- Rich| 1 replyFirst off read Lori's post and then remember every one of these web sites has a post by some idiot that actually works for the company we are being harassed by. Her "advice" that we call the company is the worst thing to do. I had a call from these idiots and they wanted to let me know my student loan was long overdue. When I asked what company my student loan was with they couldn't give me that pertinent info. Long story short I graduated college after I was done serving in the Korean War. I of course didn't "share" this information with the hired hack on the phone but I did have a good time while he tried to get me to give him my correct SS number as well as the last name I prefer to go by rather than the last name that they used. They are scam artists, very bad scam artists. I have ignored them and despite the well meaning Lori's advice I will continue to ignore them.

- Kim| 1 replyCalls frequently, up until 9pm, leaves a msg that just says call back at blah blah blah. im assuming it is a student loan because that is what everyone else says but im in deferment.
- 800-688-6337 replies to LoriHow long have you worked for these scumbags?
- Andy| 1 replyThis company searched me on the web and found my number on a website I have. The guy Bruce called and pretended it was about that, but when he used my ex's last name, I knew he must be a bill collector, because my ex never let me pay the bills. If it's about student loans, well, that's a joke, because I am already paying on my student loan to the govt. Do not believe these people. Write the cease and desist letter.

- the evil debt collector| 5 repliesHAHAHAHA, I'm back at it again. Plotting the against the innocent. Plotting your doom. I know you have no money, even though your credit report says otherwise. I know your circumstances in life excuse you from paying your student loans, even though most of you obtained the job you have now with the education you didn't pay for. But I'm a mean [***] and I must not care. In fact, I get paid to sit here and plot your destruction. To hell with our clients who charge more and have tougher fees cause you can't pay them back. Well I got to get back to work and harass and plot against more innocents. Goodbye for now.
