These folks call, leaving a callback request and then ask for personal info.. I've filed a complaint with the Massachusetts AG. They seem to want to harrass retired senior citizens. I don't know what their scam is, but I'd advise people to just keep filing complaints.
They appear to have an office in Chelsea MA and another in Bedford NH

    honest person dealing with ....them
I myself work in credit & collections & maintain a certain standard when dealing with clients.   I had taken out student loans for my daughter.  Went thru a divorce/moving etc.   They are not nice..   C'onversations were intimidating. not productive to getting the account resolved.  Told me I should borrow/take out a loan/ refinance my house.  I told them i could do none of these things.  So,  Tony said I would be eligible for a progam if I made payments for 10 months.   I gave permission to pull the  funds out of my checking account ONE TIME  Then monthly the money was deducted without my consent.   He had said I would have payment of around $60.,00       After the payments were made, I rec paperwork asking me to sign saying the FULL BALANCE was still owed!!!!   I didn't sign it.   I had asked for a payment plan to be set up.   No payment book was ever sent ... just more phone calls... I send a payment in, with no acknowldgement from the company.   Now they are ready to garnish  15%  unles I.....really I'm  not sure what they are after..  Seems they are more intent on intimidating than resolving.....   Almost ready to let them garnish just to stop having to deal with them...

I agree whole completely with paying your debts.   But sometimes life takes turns that prevent a person from paying balances as they would like.  Dealing with an agency as rude/unprofessiona/nasty, as Delta Management is, is a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE!!!     I was hung up on!!  What kind of company does that???   I don't think they are interested in getting payment plans set up.  I think their goal is to garnish or have your taxes withheld.   Big dollar amounts... not settling the account.

I would be embarrassed to work for this company....

Last year, they submitted paperwork to my employer.  The HR dept notified me of this and said the paperwork was incorrect and wanted to know how I wanted to respond.  I told them to drop it if the paperwork was not correct.  Haven't had anything since except for the calls and letters/requests to pay.  I'd pay if I could, but I guess they shouldn't have loaned to a public educator who was allowed to purchase a house he couldn't afford.  I look at it like it was a bad investment on their part and they lost on this one.  Not that I feel good about it, because I've paid with credit issues, but there's nothing I could have done in the last 7 years to change any of it anyway.

I just received a phone call at my work place. Now keep in mind no one has this phone number here at all. The girl said they needed to verify my last four of my social and my date of birth. I told  her was not getting the last four of my social. She said she could not go any further unless I provided her the information. I told her I was not giving her any information at all. She said she would let me speak with her supervisor. His name was Michael Segal and the direct # was 603-637-2690 and they were located in Bedford NH. He was unable to fax me anything to my work. He told me I needed to verify my mailing address again so they could re-send it . I told him NO! I told him i was calling the Bedford Police department, and thats when he gave me the direct number to call him back. DONT FALL FOR IT, IM NOT!

Ya, I have a balance due on my student loan for an education interrupted. My mother suffered a massive stroke and died. She had no life insurance. I emptied my savings to give her a decent burial but still owed some money on her service. Bills were getting paid, credit was improving. Then I got laid off, got into car accident that wasn't my fault and the person who hit me had no insurance, etc. Now I'm making about 12,000 less a year since I took out student loan. So before you start making judgements on people and calling them scumbags, walk a mile in their shoes.

    Annoyed
These jerks called my phone at work, bombed my cell, and sent a fax at my workplace. I'm really annoyed with all the harassing phone calls. I hope this petition works:

Don't fall for it!  SCAM ALERT
I got a call today.  They claim to be Delta Management Associates.  They asked me for my date of birth, told me this was a serious matter, and that I was going to need an attorney!  They asked if I filed my taxes and I didn't answer that either.  They then said I had and this was something I reported on my taxes.  Whatever!!!  They too called me at work like some one replied above---very similar.  Very persistent and acted real.  Even told me to visit their website which is real.  The man used the name Sean Snow ( snow job!) and the supervisor's last name was Brenner who is nasty!  I also told her she could send info to my local sheriffs department and was ready to give their address but she didn't want it because the matter was confidential.  She stated she had nothing to send.   Seriously?  You are claiming to be collecting a debt and can't send anything?  SCAM ALERT!  They gave me phone numbers too.  Jokes on them---I'm not in default and have no loans.  Never ever give any info over the phone.

They keep calling for one of my coworkers. When I asked what she was calling in regards to, all she said was 'personal business.' Sorry, but I'm not going to let you bully employees at work. She gave me the 800 number to call back and an extension (2741), but the caller ID said 603-637-2741. I assume that's her direct line.

Do NOT pay collection accounts thinking it will help your credit -  it won't. See below.

Paying off a collection balance of $1,000 dropped a 630 FICO score to a 590

Unfortunately this is an all too common occurrence as any of you with
collections have probably experienced. There’s a deficiency in the credit reporting system that shows recent activity on a collection account, if you were to make a payment. This recent activity makes the collection look younger and can result in a score drop. In my simulation the “recency” of the collection went from “greater than three years old” to less than 12 months. When you make a payment on a collection the collection agency will report the new balance to the credit reporting agencies. The “date reported” on the collection account will be the then current date, which can lead to the score drop.

Do not speak to any collection agency on the phone and do not give out any information over the phone. Nothing on the phone! Change your phone number if need be to avoid being harassed.
