- gtkNew harassment - A "genteleman" named Curtis (inaudible) called, insisted he listen to him lecture on behalf of BOA, then refused to identify himself insulted my intelligence by asserting that CreditGuard, a not-for-profit organization that helps folks settled their debts is an unlawful for-profit fraud. When I asked Curtis, to tell me his last name, he said "I already told you that, genius" at which point I terminated the call.

- JTreehornAnswered the call from 1-800-693-3455 about 8 months ago and got the pushy rep wanting payments for Circuit City. I had changed my address over a year ago and they were still saying that they were sending payments to me and charging me late fees and knocking my credit for a 120 day late. I told them my new address once AGAIN as well as all of my contact info and they still want IMMEDIATE payment. I told them to send everything in writing, as I am too smart to deal on the phone with anything and they refuse. Still getting 2 to 3 calls a day (which i ignore) from representatives saying that they are contacting my bank. For the record they used to call up to 8 times.(Still never got anything in the mail either) Even if they did break the law and contact my bank, they would be dealing with my best friend and VP of credit there and he would laugh and directly contact my banks lawfirm. I have more than enough funds to pay these people, but considering Circuit City no longer exists and these un-educated phone bullies are trying to threaten me, I will continue to ignore them. They are stored in my phone as "credit idiots" :)

- basel novo replies to thesaintIn case you don't know this (many people don't) you have no legal obligation whatsoever to talk to these people. If you feel that you should talk to them for some reason, just say, "If you have anything to say to me, say it in writing." and then hang up. Much better to not even waste a minute talking to them - it can't possibly benefit you.
- BeaCalled for my husband on my cell phone today. Did not say who they were, left a message with a case number. No clue who they are, I don't answer numbers I don't recognize.
- k| 1 replyA man who claimed his name is James Curtis has been harassing me on the phone. He is really sarcastic, calls me names, makes legal threats, and then reluctantly admitted he is not an attorney. Now he simply hangs up on me when he doesnt like the answer he is getting. I guess times are tough for him, and this is the only job he could find.
Lately, he calls my cell phone and leaves a message, something like "Still waiting for a call back from you..." I entirely doubt his sincerity, because in our last conversation he said "This is your last chance..." but he keeps calling back.- Caller: CI ?

- Lily replies to gtkThe same broad called me after a "James" called me at work several times cussing me out. It was in regards to my Bank of America bill. I have Stage 4 Cancer and can't do a whole lot. I work when I can. I explained this to them & "James" called me "a lazy slob who doesn't pay her bills" and proceeded to tell me cancer is personal & this is business so what was I going to do about it. I was making $10 payments each month (it was all I could afford) and after that, I stopped making payments. Period.
Then "Beth" called me & wanted me to take out a personal loan to pay them off because they were willing to settle. I tried but was denied because these morons screwed up my credit. She told me she thought I was lying & couldn't believe I was denied a loan. Then she told me she was taking me to court. I told her I could then show the court all of my bills. That was in March & I didn't get another call from them until June when "attornies" from there started calling me about "time sensitive" matters. Screw them. - Lily replies to kThis is the same guy that called me a lazy slob after I told him I have Stage 4 Cancer. He called me outside of my names so many times. The more calm I was with him, the more he screamed at me. I hung up on him & was in tears afterwards. Screw them.

Verse said she would return my call after reviewing the papers and its been over a week and I've heard nothing from them ....Beware , these people were trying to collect on closed accounts ..be sure and check your paperwork before you agree to pay them anything . - JasmineI received a call from these people saying I owed on a credit card , and I informed them that this account had been closed and settled a long time ago 6+ yrs ... I think there trying to pull a scam on people using old credit card accounts . as soon as I faxed them the info I had about my account being paid and closed , I've heard nothing from them since . Please check your cards first before you agree to pay them anything , your card may have already been paid off and APPARENTLY they're wanting to try and scam you into paying on a card that has been paid off .
I talked to a woman that said her name was AIRICKA VERSE , and after telling her to remove some phone numbers that I no longer have , that now belong to other people from there call list and she said she did , well she LIED , she didn't remove the numbers , because I called back and talked to a guy and I asked him what contact numbers he had and the numbers were still on there . SO YOU CAN'T TRUST HER ! - gtk| 1 replySomebody named "Elizabeth" called to tell me this was their final call how any "final" calls will they make?) to resolve the claim. I hung up. - Shantell replies to Barb Stone| 1 replyI understand your rage, but where do you get off identifying her as a "black chick." That was completely off basis and uncalled for. FYI, people of many nationalities vist this website. Please use better judgment next time.
Thank you - ShantellI get this call to my home nonstop as well. They are looking for a woman named Veronica. I repeatedly ask them to remove my number from their system because it is the wrong number. Unfortunately, i still get the calls.
- TSAI recived a call from this number on my prepaid cell phone on 8/12/09. I did not answer it. I called it back on 8/13/09. It was a creditor. I still live with my parents, drive an old hand-me-down car, and have no bills except for putting fuel in the car.

- KattyHave gotten two calls from this number and one voice mail on my cell phone in the past hour. A man calling himself "Mr. Miller" says I need to call him regarding a complaint that is being filed against me in such-and-such county in two days. I'm going to call back to see what they say. If this is regarding credit card debt, I'm already attempting to work with other collection agencies. How do they get this information anyhow? Is anything these people do legit?

- annoyedI received a call this morning (8-17-09) from a woman a looking for my boyfriend (who doesn't live with me). I don't know how she got my numbered but she said she was an attorney handling the civil suit against him. I told her he wasn't in and asked for her information. She wouldn't give me anything and replied that she would find the number of his employer through tax records and call him. I immediately called my boyfriend; He said that they had called his parents and even grandparents. He called the number back and was told that he owed so much money and had till 4 p.m to pay or else it would hurt his credit. After calling his bank, he learned it was all a scam. I don't understand how these people can get so much information and contact numbers.

Next time I get a call from them, I'll put on my best indian accent and see how far I get with them. My American 'name' in this instance will be Chris, but my name in my home country will be "Aptar" with the accent on the 2nd syllable.
What do you think? Ahaahahaahah....ama play a game w/them!!! - SuThese people at 800 693 3455 are getting verbally abusive. Someone needs to take them down.
