- RobertoRed Cross has called me every day for the last year, at least once, and sometimes 2-3 times a day. More annoying than perhaps any other caller on the face of the planet -- they call in the morning, at dinner time, on the weekends, non-stop. They are the biggest spam telemarketers on the face of the planet, and their requests that you donate blood to save lives would be laudable were it not for the fact that they are selling your blood and making millions off it (hence the endless phone calls). If you want to donate blood, go to your local children's hospital -- they'll be happy to take it.
After a year of frustration, I found a simple fix. If they are calling your cell, and you have an iPhone, just add Red Cross to your Contact s with a number of 1-800-733-2767, and then add them to the Block list (at the bottom of the new entry). Voila! No more annoying calls from these bloodsuckers.- Caller: Red Cross

- 800-733-2767I have had this phone number blocked for some time now. I can see when blocked numbers try to call. Yes, they still do, but I never hear the phone ring

- DianeI finally blocked the number on my phone because they call so much. I don't know the company, but most lately have been solar companies or companies for remodeling my home. Many are obnoxious and pretty scarry. Why can't someone do anything about all these calls. I have about 8 of them blocked on my phone right now. I can always tell when they call back.......rings once and then my blocker knocks them off. Won't they ever give up and my phone number is supposed to be blocked and unlisted. Very annoying for seniors that have to get to the phone in a hurry.

- Paul DJust caught a $950.00 fraudulent charge on my credit card to this account. Watch out!
- blooddonor replies to Justin| 84 repliesYes, I did give blood. I am happy to do so again. However, these constant calls, including dinner time and Sundays, are making me rethink my decision. They call me nearly every day at my home, and I am not even there, as I am in college. Notice to Red Cross, if you don't stop calling me (my parents), forget about my future donations. I guess no good deed does go unpunished!!
- LaurenI get calls just about every other day from them, but they have refused my blood for over a year due to low iron.
- Audrey BullockThis number came in tonight and when I answered the person said "don't say that" and hung up. It's 8:30 at night. I do not want to be bothered at home.
- 8007332767I have had this number blocked for a long time now, and my blocking system lets me see calls that I get from blocked numbers. This number is still at it, even though I never hear the phone ring (when this number calls),
- Always-HopefulIt's the ARC calling for blood...again. You CAN stop the calls.
I wrote an e-mail and sent it to --> ombudsman@redcross.org "Bob" replied and asked me to verify my name & phone number. And, voila! Less than one week after I gave Bob my info, the calls for my blood stopped completely! Hooray! The ombudsman saved my sanity.- Caller: American Red Cross

- Steve| 3 repliesMy son is in the United States Army, he was wounded in action, if was not for people giving blood to the Red Cross he might not have lived. To all the people how donate blood, thank you very much. To all the other pansies that complain about a bruise or a phone call move to another country. Support our troops, give blood.
- yeah right replies to Steve| 1 replyMaybe you and your son should move to another country that doesn't fight stupid wars for profit.
- Kevin replies to SteveAll the "pansies" complaining here are ALSO the people who donated blood, possibly to your son.
The Red Cross takes our blood and then gives our contact information to telemarketers. They should not be doing that.
I came here because these telemarketers keep calling me, sometimes at 2 AM. I ask them to stop everytime, which seems like it would be a simple thing to do.
I am glad your son lived, and I would be happy with the Red Cross if all they did was give my blood to people who need and deserve it.
