No msg left. Returned call on non traceable #. Answers USAA. When asked what this in regards to states possibly from Retirement Savings Team. Transfered to USAA to confirmed #. Unsure if this is a scam or not.

DD - I'm wondering about this myself.  Caller ID does not say USAA, but if they do leave a message (they have twice before but not this time) a woman will say it's USAA calling about annuity service.  I called USAA's # and someone at their annuity help line did say it was a good number for them, but it sure doesn't seem professional without a USAA caller ID or not leaving a message at times.  I've been with USAA for 40 years... starting to wonder if I should remain.

 The said to me that they called “ on behalf” of USAA.  I called USAA and I was told that they are trying to promote their annuities.  The number is not a USAA number but they allowed some companies to do these calls.  Hmmm!

Same thing.  Caller claimed to be with USAA calling about an annuity that was coming up for renewal. I don't have one, which raised red flags.  If this is USAA allowing a third party to use its name to peddle annuities, this behavior is disgusting because it was deceptive on two levels: (1) claimed to be USAA when not and (2) lied about the existence of a product in a portfolio to try to make a sale.   Come on USAA.  You can do better.

They have called me twice from a non-usaa number.  I finally picked up, and talked briefly to someone who wanted to review my annuities.  Sounds fishy so I got a call back number and plan to contact USAA.

I received a call from an unknown number that left a voicemail to return at 800-748-4843 but when I searched online it didn’t show USAA. I called USAA directly and had just spoken to them 4 days ago. The representative said they they were outsourcing routine calls for annual reviews. If you do call or take the call, you will be transferred to a valid USAA representative. My call was for retirement accounts. Hopefully, this helps others but most members aren’t likely to respond to unknown numbers which is what showed up on my caller ID as it seems like fraud. USAA needs to rethink the program.

12/15/2021 4:24pm Amy claiming to be from USAA left me a message to call her back at 1-800-748-4843 about my savings account. Looked up the # and saw it was not USAA. Reported # to Federal Do Not Call Registry.

Same here. Left a message yesterday asking me to call back in reference to my savings account (I did not). Called today, I answered and they said they were USAA Life. I asked what that was and they said life insurance. Told them I wasn't interested and hung up while she was still talking. Very disappointed if this is acceptable by the USAA financial institute.

Same as above.  They called twice in 2 days.  The gentleman said he was USAA Life.  I don't have life insurance, nor do I need life insurance.  He transferred to "USAA representative."  She read in a "sing-songy" voice from a script.  I, too am disappointed in USAA.

This is a scam.  "Jessie from USAA" left a message for me to call back to this number about my savings account.  A simple check on USAA's official number verified that this is a scam.

Caller purported to be from USAA...but declined to say why answering that the call was beinbg recorded

Recv’d call today.  Rather obnoxious woman wanted to transfer to annuity person after ‘annuity review’.  She wouldn’t shut up and would hardly let me speak.  I finally said, “I do not wish to be contacted regarding product promotion” and she continued.  Anyway, alerted USAA who confirmed they had not attempted to contact me.  Gave USAA info and blocked the number.
