- solomonthis is a collection company that is so lazy that they use intellus to try and find those who owe but they never get it right. they kept calling me and saying they wanted to collect from someone i have never met or known. saying that this person gave them my phone number. what a bunch of liars. my phone number isn't available to the public. all they do is use intellus that lists everyone that has the same last name as you and live in the same area and then they call everyone on the list hoping to get a good lead. they don't bother to make sure that the info they have is correct. then they act as if you are not being truthful. and they call again and again. the don't call list doesn't work and to tell them not to call doesn't work. so here is the sure cure for these uneducated dumb [***].
USE A POLICE WHISTLE and blow as hard as you can and as long as you can. they won't call back after that. and they will have a ear ache for several days. whoohoo. got in.- Call type: Debt collector
- solomon replies to sick and tired| 1 replymost of these kind of people are not educated and couldn't get a real job. burger king wouldn't even hire them. debt collectors should be required to get a state certificate to be a collector and they should have to be %100 possitive the person they are calling is the correct person they are looking for. not take a last name from intellus and call eveyone in the area you live in who has your same last name looking for the person they want to collect from. most collector are uneducated . people with low esteem and mental issues.
- solomon replies to payyourbillsif these uneducated underskilled boobs that work as collectors would get off their lazy dead [***] and get the information correct for who they are wanting to collect from. maybe just maybe we who pay are bill and being harrassed by these boobs wouldn't be so pissed off. they just get your last name from intellus and call everybody in your area over and over and over thinking that someone will know the person they are looking for .when you tell them that you don't know the person they are looking for they act as if you are a liar. when in fact it is them that are the liars. if they don't stop calling you after you tell them to stop the sure cure is a police whistle blown as long and as loud as you can. thats a sure cure. i told them i would do it to them if they didn't stop and they called again . they don't call me anymore. dumb [***]
- AlexSo far, I don't have a problem with the company--yet.
I'm 19, and while visiting some family out of state, had to go to the ER because of gallstone pain, and now I have an almost 3 thousand dollar medical bill. I just called, and spoke to a lady, and straight up told her I CAN'T PAY THIS IN FULL, and if I pay at least some of it, every month, you cant put it on my credit, SO, I'll pay you 25 dollars a month, until I can afford more.
The only thing that frustrated me was she kept asking if I had a credit card, or if my family could pay it in full for me. No, sorry, what part of I HAVE NO CREDIT did you not understand? And I don't live with family anymore, nor do they have three thousand dollars lying around.- Caller: Professional Account Services

- E wI received a call from your office to . The girl that called me was so hateful while I was trying to tell her that the same acct was coming from the hospital and to another acct . place that i had already paying she called me a lier. ask me why I was not working was I disable and when I said no she wanted to know why i had not worked in a year and half. For one thing I have been paying this bill, another thing she does not need to be so ugly, I understand they get a little more if the bill is paid. But in this day and time people are loseing jobs, homes, that puts you behind on things, There are just somethings that people can not help , Such as a death in the family, sickness, when i found out that I had to pay this i went to the hospital and talked to them ,I was aware that I needed to pay this a year after the fact, co pay was all i thought I owed, but when I found out I started paying it . I am trying to pay this bill off yes I missed a month , when I tryed to tell her, She started telling me what I was to do , I know what I have to do I do not need a kid to tell me . If I owe it I will pay it I have always paid my bills ,. If i could remember the girls name , but her hatefulness was so uncalled for , I have sent you two bill for the same acct. from two different offices from you frim ,and still getting bills from river region. that i have been trying to pay. monthly is all I can do , yes I got behind , but what has sat me behind was not because I wanted to I had rather had pay you than go through what I had to go through,
Please work with me on this bill , I am trying to get it paid , I want it paid worse than you
thank you
EW - Dennis replies to PO| 2 repliesLet me post something actually helpful to these forums.
Check the statutes in your state for credit collection, and the federal statutes as well. It is illegal to use an automatic dialer to call cell phones. (DO NOT tell the caller that, do not help them out. Besides, they should already KNOW THAT!)
They ARE automatic dialers, which explain the delay.
Get (again, check the statutes for such in your state) a small cassette recorder and put the phone you are using on speaker. Tape the conversation. There (due to the automatic dialer) will be a delay before an actual human being picks up. At once, mention to the human being that there was a delay and these constant calls with no one on the line are annoying, ask them exactly --> is something wrong with your phone - or otherwise get them to admit the reason - being that they are using an automatic dialer. Then specifically ASK them an address WHERE to send them a cease and desist letter. If they balk in ANY way, HANG UP. Their method is harassment, NOT simply "trying to collect a debt".
Research the above, folks. Document, document, DOCUMENT. Make a note of the dates, times, etc., of ALL calls, to include every word spoken. File a complaint with the FTC, hire an attorney, that is how you stop these people.
A REPUTABLE attorney, and there are many who take only these types of cases, will take your case without charging you one cent initial. (No, I am NOT an attorney, but I have had this happen to me by a collector representing the Bank of America. We sued - and recovered a monetary settlement.)
What it does entail is EFFORT on your part and a desire to STOP the calls. Once the check was IN our hand, only then did we change our phone number. It was the principle. What those folks do is ILLEGAL. - DennisAlso, FYI --> Why of course, it will not always be a convenient place/time to actually answer. When that is the case, simply don't answer. You can get a copy of any phone record, it will show up, just document the date/time and N/A (for "No answer".)

- HARRIETHAVE BEEN RECEIVING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER ALMOST DAILY, BUT THERE IS NEVER ANY ANSWER WHEN I PICK UP THE RECEIVER. ALSO, THERE ARE NEVER ANY MESSAGES LEFT. I'M GETTING SICK AND TIRED OF RUSHING TO THE PHONE TO FIND NOTHING BUT DEAD AIR. I WANT THE CALLS TO STOP!
- suezq replies to Dennisthanks for the HELPFUL info. I receive calls from these folks multiple times during the work hours. I will not answer while I am at work. they never leave an informative message just an automated messages telling me to call.
- payyourbillspayyourbills here again, just reminding you to pay your bills. most collectors will not get ugly with you unless you get ugly with them. fact of the matter is, most people think you can get away with not paying medical bills just because there isnt a service behind it for them to take away. think about power, tv, phone, water, people pay those bills because if they dont, they will be shut off. just because doctors dont come back to you with a needle filled with the flu virus or your cancer cells when you dont pay doesnt mean you SHOULDNT pay. and yes, if you work with a hospital or collection agency and are nice enough, most collectors will work with you for small payments, to an extent.
- payyourbills replies to solomon1. You are funny. 2. Debt Collectors are required to get a licence. Look up National Healthcare Collectors Association. 3. Burger King doesnt pay a quarter of what debt collectors get paid, so why would they want to work there? 4. I bet you are one of those people who dont pay your bills.

- Filed Suit replies to thisismeNO ONE EXPECTS TO GET ANYTHING FOR FREE.
However, a reality check is in order. Patients on fixed income, elderly, disabled, etc., are unable to MEET "requirements" that they pay within 30, 60, or even 90 days. They wouldn't go out and purchase a new vehicle and agree to pay during a "fixed" time frame, KNOWING THEY CAN'T AFFORD IT.
Medical patients have OTHER obligations such as basic living expenses. PEOPLE FIRST - Sorry, DEBT SECOND.
Any "policy" of calling patients in such a manner, serves NO purpose other than to harass them. Many AGREE verbally TO PAY - only for the calls to continue due to some "policy" until the debt is paid in full - regardless of the fact the patient has agreed to pay and IS PAYING MONTHLY.
Also, there is such a thing as HIPAA - study it - learn it - KNOW it. Seems numerous physicians, hospitals, and others appear to think it perfectly fine to FARM out their billing. By doing so, they are supplying strangers with pertinent personal & personal medical info on patients. And NO - SMART people do NOT sign ANYTHING that allows this, THUS --> I said T-H-U-S --> it is a violation of patient's rights.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also, folks please be aware - it is a violation of FEDERAL law for collectors to use an AUTO DIALER to call a cell phone. Get a cassette recorder, place the call on speaker, when a human being finally picks up - and they will - ask them what the pause was and get them ON TAPE admitting it must have been the auto dialer. It is NOT your job to inform them they have just violated the law. HANG UP - and hire an attorney. - Filed Suit replies to LESLIENOT TRUE.
A well-known, WORLDWIDE BANK was calling me repeatedly, and despite being told numerous times that I did not know the party they were calling AND that party no longer had this phone number, they continued to call. They called me a liar, implied I was "hiding" the party they were looking for, etc.
I taped ALL calls, had a trace put on my phone, hired and attorney, SUED AND WON.
The very DAY I cashed my settlement check, I changed my number. It was the PRINCIPLE. WHY should I have changed the number before just to get them to stop calling? I'd done NOTHING wrong.
Stand up for yourselves people. - Filed Suit replies to wouldnt you like to know| 1 replyHey, likes of you --> call my house and see where it gets you. LOL It'll GET YOU SUED.
