These idiots are calling trying to collect on a debt that was resolved in a bankruptcy case in 2004. I informed them that they were breaking the law in trying to collect a debt that has been satisfied in bankruptcy proceedings and they said they will continue to pursue. When I said to give me their contact information so I can turn it over to my attorney and the NYS district court. They hung up. Someone else called back an hour later to discuss the "outstanding debt and they're pending legal action". God I want to sue these jackholes.

They keep calling my home number, very annoying.

I have been receiving calls from Debt Recovery Agency daily.  The number is 1-800-772-1413.  I keep telling them this debt has been disputed and I won the case and it has been removed from my credit report.  The rep Melanie told me she would call me daily and kept trying to get me to fax them information or give them my telephone number or address information.  I refuse and will not pay them.  It seems I am not the only person being harrassed by this company.

This  company calls several times a day.  No one is on  the line when we pick up, so we've stopped picking up.  We are on the Do Not Call list.  Why do they calll?

Got a call from this # and I asked who was calling, the lady said her first name, as if it was a friend,  I asked, sorry but who is this,  she asked me are you Mr. Garcia, at that time, I new it was not for me because no one calls me Mr. Garcia,  I said, please , who are you, and she replied,  I've already told you who I am , are you , and I interrupted very politely and said, You must have the wrong number , because no one talks to me that way,  please dont call again. and she huing up.

They keep calling and I keep telling them the debt is well past the statute of limitations and hang up. They try to say something else but as far as I am concerned the matter is closed!

Ya know, something occurred to me when PRA called me for the 7,866,912th time. They have NOTHING! That's why they always CALL and NEVER file a lawsuit. They want to just browbeat me into paying something I don't owe to them! If they had any b@lls at all they would have filed years ago... but they cannot legally collect. They WANT from ME, that gives all of us the POWER, They WANT and we DON'T. Take control over the call and hang up if they do not listen. They NEED us, we don't need THEM. WE HAVE ALL THE POWER BECAUSE WE HAVE THE MONEY! Tell them "I want to be treated with respect or you don't get a paycheck!"
They have called my number for two years looking for someone I do not know, now I tell them I am that person and cause them all kinds of grief... I actually look forward to their calls now so I can piss them off more and more, because they WANT from ME. Desperate pleas for your paycheck will not be acknowledged. Buh bye!!!

Keep calling and she doesn't live at this phone number anymore

I've been getting calls from Porfolio Recovery for 2 or 3 years.  We have a good credit rating and do not have any outstanding debts.  They have hd different telephone numbers over the years.  The latest number is 800-772-1413.

I found out it was them by googling the number.  How can these people be stopped?

I  get a call from these fools about 3 or 4 times a week for a credit card I haven't had or heard from in years That was in my maiden name. I married 11 years ago and they still called me by my maiden name. I check my credit report every year and the "debt" isn't on it.

THESE PRICKS CALL MY HOME EVERY SINGLE DAY, A FEW TIMES A DAY. THEY DON'T LEAVE A MESSAGE, THEY JUST HANG UP IF NO ONE ANSWERS. SO I ANSWERED THIER CALL THIS MORNING, I SPOKE WITH SOME [***] WHO HAD A MAJOR POWER TRIP (PROBABLY MOLESTED AS A CHILD SO HE NOW FEELS THE NEED TO BE IN A MORE POWERFUL POSITION SINCE HE WAS ALWAYS ON THE BOTTOM)
ANYWAY, AFTER SENSING THIS GUYS APPROACH I DECIDED TO [***] WITH HIM AND HIS QUESTIONS A BIT. I HAD THIS GUY SO CONFUSED HE'LL BE TOSSING AND TURNING ALL NIGHT. I [***] WITH HIM SO BAD THAT THIS PRICK HUNG UP ON ME!!! NOW THAT'S SOMETH'N HUH?
SO THE NEXT TIME THESE MORONS CALL TO HARASS YOU, DON'T RUN AND HIDE, PICK UP THE PHONE AND [***] WITH EM, HAVE FUN WITH THE EM. REMEMBER, A CREDIT CARD DEBT IS AN >UNSECURED DEBT< THEY CAN'T DO [***]! THEY CAN JUST MAKE IT "OFFICIAL" IN COURT THAT YOU OWE MONEY TO THEM, THAT'S ALL. THEY CAN'T TAKE YOU ASSETS, IT'S AN UNSECURED LOAN. SO MAKE THESE PRICKS REGRET COMING TO WORK BY TURNING THE TABLES ON THEM.

this is what happens when we had bush for eight years
and then the sub prime loan meltdown.
this is the same, they package these old debts for pennies on the dollar.
the only reason why they're still in business is because they have
money for Lobbyists and we don't.
we need to get this issue to our representatives to warn them of what's
to come.

We have a policy when we do work or provide a service the bill is usually 4 hours min. at $200.00 per hour.
I personally contacted this company at 1-800-860-0644 as they called and requested. Generating a $800.00 bill/invoice for that service.
They knew me by my first name and knew the business name and informed me of this.
They also said the check is in the mail.
The manager was ask over and over what his name was. I guess he has forgotten or ashamed of his name.
This is obviously a dead beat company steeling money and time from where ever they can.
They have not PAID THEIR BILL as of this date.
I even offered to take a credit card for our services over the phone.

For me it was a legitimate collection although unfotunately for them they will not be getting anything, losers.
Basically, morons at Citi bank has sold off my credit card debt to Portfolio Recovery Associates after 2 months late. I called Citi and they could not fnd my info for 30 minutes until they finally found that they sold the debt.

They keep calling me and they have the wrong person.  Can't get their background facts straight.  FIRST LOCATE THE CORRECT PERSON YOU ARE LOOKING FOR BEFORE YOU START CALLING!!!!!!!!

Called for someone w/ different name; we've had this # for five years. Typical for such bottom-feeding scum.

Have been receiving the same annoying call on my cell from this agency looking for a person that I have never heard of. Reported the call and call logs to the ftc.gov

This # called my house today and ask for a ******** which is and ex-sister-in-law. Which has been for 14 years and as far as I know she doesn't even know my telephone number now or my new last name. they said it was gave as a contact #.  Yea right. told them to take my number off the person.
