- AngelI phoned the police department today to file a complaint. I think it speaks volumes when I gave them the address and the officer said "can you hold on a minute, that address raises a flag for me".
Apparently they've been out to this guys house to tell him to stop calling people.- Caller: Brown Stein and Weissman
- Call type: Debt collector
- frustratedI sent a C&D, which was received, but ignored. I contacted an attorney who advised me that Brown, Stein, and Weisman is a scam and suggested filing a police report. These people have been harrassing me for weeks, calling work, family, cell, over and over and over saying I'm being investigated for check fraud. When I asked for verification or more details, I was told they didn't have any contact informaton for the payday loan company but I could probably look it up on the internet. The woman went on to say that I could set up payment arrangments, then got testy when I said I would do no such thing. She badgered me until I was near tears. I finally hung up. They called again 2 days later - same time - multiple numbers. I'm not answering again and have advised my family of the same.

- LaughingAtLosersThese losers keep calling my wife's work number trying to get money. If you want some real entertainment, call them and try to get a word in. Once you tell them you know they are a scam, they totally lock up and can't speak coherently. Obviously they hear that all the time.
The Attorney General's office in my state says they have a long list of violations from these people and are building a case. We just keep adding to the pile of evidence against them so there is little chance they will escape justice.
And to think I once considered Telemarketers to be the bottom of the barrel. These people are the scum on the mud on the underside of the barrel and have no class, morals or self respect at all.
But their day is coming and I will laugh when I read about their arrest and prison sentences when it hits the news.- Caller: Brown, Stein, and Weismann

- me| 1 replyWell, the country is starting to use our judicial system to collect. You get sent a summons for court to discuss your "Debt." You dont show up for court and they issue a warrant for skipping court. When you post bail to get out of jail, they give that money to the collector. It's a legal way of using our system as a debt collector. This BS is happening in a few states now. It's Bogus! But it's happening for real.
BTW-I just got a call from this number but didn't answer it. - me| 2 repliesif it's of any value, I placed a Crackslist ad recently selling a few things. Also responded to a few giving my number. That may be where they got my info.
- big red replies to meI'm not sure about that. They typically don't issue warrants for missing court on a judgement. If you miss court then a default judgement is entered, which you can then appeal.
Either way. BSW is never going to be able to get a judgement against any of us - since it appears they do not have proof that they own any of our debts or that our debts are legitamate.
I just got a copy of the letter the AG sent them the other, threatening to fine them up to $2,000 per day for non-compliance with FDCA and Gerogia Standard Business Act or something like that.
The best thing we can do is to keep filing a complaint, every single time they violate. - me| 3 repliesjust called again. no message.
- Anonym replies to ChiellI received a call from them and paid them a partial payment. After doing so I got suspicious of them and discovered them to be BS. Since I was a doofus and didn't confirm who they were before hand is there any way to get the money back that I paid them or am I out that money, but learned a valuable lesson instead? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
- Anonym replies to me| 1 replyI got duped by these guys. I called after paying an initial payment and was told I'd receive the paperwork via email about the debt. Never received anything. I made sure that the 2nd payment I have setup with them won't happen. My question is there any recourse to get my money back or no?
- emma replies to Anonymtry your bank's fraud department.

- Brenda C. replies to Don't Fall For It!| 1 replyYes, they did get my good. They theaten to arrest my son if he did not pay the balance for a payday loan which he says he did not owe. I was so afrad, I made arrangements with they to pay it off. I gave them my checking account number and in the last two weeks, they have stolen a total of $600.00 from my account and two of these drafts were made without my knowledge.I now owe the bank hundreds in bank fees and other checks that have bounced because of what they have done to me. They were only supposed to take a total of $350.00 in a four week period but they just keep taking money out of my account and the bank says that because I gave them permission the first time that they can just keep on doing it.
Please give me any info that you might have so that I can start some type of legal proceedings against them. - Brenda C. replies to i work for themIf you work for them, don't you feel any guilt for stealing from someone. Your company have stolen a total of $600.00 from my checking account even though you told me that I only owed you $350.00.
But don't worry, I have contacted the Georgia States Attorney office, the Maryland State attorneys office, I have filed a $1,000.00 small claim lawsuit in the state of Maryland and named your boss "Kevin Brown" in the lawsuit. Therefore, he has to travel to Maryland to answer to this lawsuit.
I have also charged Kevin Brown with theft because your company took money from my checking account without my authorization. Anything else that I can do to show your company I mean business, I most certainly will.
You are scamming people and I will do whatever I have to in order to get my money back that you stole from my account and that bank charges that have resulted from you drafting my account without my permission. - Jessica replies to Paris| 1 replyMaybe, If you had a job you wouldn't be out writing bad checks.............
