Washington, DC 20554 - NBI got another call from this company for a person that I do not know. I have repeatedly told creditors that we do not know this person, yet the continue to call here all hours of the day. I have even looked up the company and e-mailed them, threatening to write to the attorney general, and the phone calls stopped for a while, but now they have started again. Why do we need to be harassed for someone else's debt? Is there anything that can be done about this?
- Call type: Debt collector
- leethax| 1 replyok, ive been getting these calls about xrays and the something to do with the radiological department. They call once or twice a week, and its freakin annoying, they call for somebody named Elizabeth rojosoao or something like that its a spainish name, im not even latin nor am i even 18.
- Call type: Debt collector
- leethax replies to leethaxI live locally so im thinking about going to their office and start raising some hell.
- EddyThey keep calling me with a computer saying "if your name is ___ call us about your bill"
Like they can't have the decency to have a human at the other end of the line?
I tried calling them several times but no dice, the idiots keep calling.
I filed a complaint with the FCC. Next stop, the Better Business Bureau and state Attorney General if I can find the company's location. - EddyI forgot to add that they've got the wrong damn number!
- KPA recording from this number is calling my work number and leaving a message telling me to call and push ext 172. This is ridiculous.
- Caller: Shumaker Group
- twitchey replies to Dave| 14 repliesif u call the 1-800 number from ur phone u have just given them the name the phone is in. go to radio shack and tell them u want something to record telephone conversations. costs under 30.00. u will also need a recorder. use it for all ur phone calls like this. by law they have to give u the address not po box. when u get that send themm letter ceasing all activity with u. u have to send it certified with a return receipt. tell them after they get it they have like 5 days to cease all contact with u...be specific..after that if they call u have it on tape...file charges with ur attorney state generals office...and also u can get an attorney and sue. its teh law they are violating. also u never have to pay a collector. u can pay the original business. also the collector has to verify the bill or original contract. if they cant they cannot collect. in fact if its older than 7yrs they cant make it new and put it on ur credit record. its illegal...and also if soemthing is older than 7yrs it has to come off.
- mandy8403THESE IDIOTS HAVE DECIDED TO START CALLING ME AT MY WORK - BIG MISTAKE!

- English speaker replies to twitchey| 12 repliesGo to wal-mart and buy a dictionary. It tells you the spelling of such common words as "you", "your", "them", etc. While you are there, pick up a typing tutor program, or just have a friend show you what key on the keyboard makes letters into capital letters. (hint: "Shift")
- annoyed sprint userIt seems to me that with all of these agencies calling us, it is just a scam to get us to call them back so they can confirm that it is a working number and get our CID. I get calls on my cell and my home phone constantly for people I have never heard of. It's not likely that this many different people have similar numbers that are being entered into their systems wrong, so that is why I have such a theory. Anyway, keep reporting these numbers to donotcall.gov and with enough information, the donotcall.gov folks will find a pattern.

- CommonSense replies to English speakerCome on "English Speaker", its not even about the spelling. Its about the information. I really think you're missing the point. Furthermore, I'll bet you have moments too.
