These people keep calling. I even changed my number to get away from them. This is getting ridiculous. I don't owe anyone any money. WHYYY?!?! Ugh.

Thank you got on the website called the 714 phone number. Some woman said she would put it on there not to call our number anymore.  We will see.

They are CMRE financial or some collector goon.  

Tell them to f*&k off, because our health system should not be putting normal Americans who had an accident with no insurance in financial hell for the rest of their lives.  What kind of country is this?

They are never there on the line.  They just want you to get pissed at the 5 calls they send you per day.  It's their version of sandbox immaturity -to spite you for exercising your right to ignore them.

While I'm here let me blast Tri-City Medical Center in Vista, CA.  Absolutely THE WORST medical facility in San Diego county - hands down.
Their staff looks like they just got out of some women's prison, and they could give a damn about anything you say or want.

After this, I think I'll start bashing CMRE Financial and Tri-City Medical in some blogs and articles. This is gonna be fun!

We keep receiving the same phone call. They don't leave a message, and even if you do call back you can't get in touch with anyone. I have no idea why they are even calling us. If they are a collection agency my best guess would be that they are mostly spam so to speak.

Got a call from this number, but I've only had my cell phone for 2 months. I've been on the Do Not Call registry since I got this number. I'm reporting them today.

Well the a$$holes have started calling me again. Check my May 28th on page 4. It's starts about every 6 months, always somebody I don't know. So far they've called for 6 different people at the same phone number, mine... This has been going on for over 2 years.

I am so pissed I got a call from a Valarie offering me a job.  I do have a resume out there so it was not surprising.  What was surprising was that she did not ask me any questions, just wanted to set up an interview.  I got the address and made the appointment. Something told me this is weird. I googled the address and it was CMR Financial.  I am pissed.  What where they going to do to me?

My 9 y.o. son keeps getting calls from this number. He's had the phone for only 3 months (for emergencies) Obviously a 9 y.o. doesn't have unpaid bills (and neither do I) We are on the Do Not Call list so I'm reporting them today.

Englishspeaker, since you're so saavy on the rules of the English language, then you would have known to capitalize the "W" in the name of the retail establishment known as Wal-mart since it is a proper noun.  Nice going!

Are you kidding me?  You must feel pretty stupid by now- You must be the one that is linked to this phone number...Did you get P'd off because someone caught on to your cheap scam??  Get a real job dweeb and I would not apply for a english teacher's position either...you don't fit the criteria!!

These people have called me several times a week for the past 18 months. The recording states that the call is from "Forsyth Emergency Group LLC." The recorded voice cites someone whose name sounds like "Dervisher" as being the party to which the robot voice wishes to speak. The telephone number 1-800-783-9118 is given along with an account reference number.

The robot voice has lately begun announcing something to this effect: "If you do not respond to this call, then we will assume that you owe this debt."

I have no idea how these people obtained my telephone number nor who "Dervisher" is nor who the Forsyth Emergency Group LLC is.

I do know that I am sick of it.

Under the TCPA, a consumer has a right to file a lawsuit and recover $500 for each call that violates the TCPA. The TCPA can also be used in conjunction with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act in some situations.  

Generally, the TCPA does not apply to debt collectors making collection calls to debtors. However, if you are subjected to calls from a debt collector and you are not the debtor, you may file a lawsuit against the debt collector under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the TCPA.

This right was recently recognized by Judge Legrome D. Davis in a case called Watson v. NCO Group, Inc.  NCO Group is a debt collector that uses automated prerecorded collection calls.  In this case, Mr. Watson alleged he was getting hundreds of calls from NCO Group after he got a new phone number. Mr. Watson claimed he owed no debt to NCO Group, Inc.  Mr. Watson filed suit under both the FDCPA and TCPA.

David Israel, defense lawyer for NCO, argued that the TCPA should not apply to debt collectors.  Judge Davis rejected the argument made by David Israel. The judge ruled that Mr. Watson had a right to sue NCO Group Inc under the TCPA for $500 for each call.  Judge Davis wrote;

[The] Court is convinced that a non-debtor's rights are in fact violated when he is subjected to repeated annoying and abusive debt collection calls that he remains powerless to stop.

Judge Davis' ruling was based upon his interpretation that collection calls to non-debtors violate the privacy rights provided by the TCPA.  

So what can you do if you receive "wrong number" calls from debt collectors?

1. Sign up for the Do-Not-Call registry.
2. Save the calls captured by your voice mail or answering machine.
3. Contact a consumer lawyer.

Hey everyone,

FYI whoever this CMRE healthcare company is has single-handedly ruined my credit score for a bogus $93 dollar charge from 2006 for a visit to some medical center I've never even been to.  It is worth following up on (I'm going to try right now)if you are looking to buy a car or home any time in the near future and especially if you are in your 20's because even a little thing like this affects your credit score dramatically.  I know it will be dropped after 7 yrs but that doesn't help me right now unfortunately.

i called them back and had my phone number removed from their list...ask them what they are going to do about them calling your phone asking for the wrong person....ph# belongs to cmre financial services...place number into google earth for location....

Good grief get over it!  This is suppose to be regarding information on these calls not berating someone on their spelling.  Thank you to the ones who gave the information spelling errors or not.

Someone called to collect a debt.  I pay everything on time.

They keep calling 20 X's a day for some one named james..I don't know a james, jim.. jimmy... idk how they got this number but they won't give up!  Well I have them on my blocked call list..so won't even bother trying to explain it to them again
