Called at 9pm wanting to take a survey about problems in our area. Told them the only problem we have is people calling us at night when we have to up at 3am for work and hung up.

Could these fools be anymore idiotic?  Oh wait I see they are from the republican party so I guess they could.

Call from AMC Surveys (Attitude Measurement Corporation) looking for my son.
Yes, surveys are exempt from the DNC list.  (Annoying, but legitimate.)
Explained that this is a cell phone and does not belong to the person they asked for and requested they remove me from their call list.  As a legitimate survey company, they will probably comply.

Caller ID "Toll Free Caller".  Did not go through the prompts to bypass my call screening device.

One call a day for the last few days from this number (800-816-3521).  Never leaves a message.
I have "selectively" forwarded the number to voicemail so I don't need to hear it ring anymore.  No message, no answer.

Called me today and left message "County Transit meeting".

Got a call tonight saying it was for San Francisco election survey.   From the questions asked, it was encouraging voters to vote no for proposition F.  Airbnb probably paid this company to call people.  I blocked this number after the call.

They call several times a day. When answering machine picks up they leave no message. It is very annoying.

I don't know where you got your information but it won't work.  These people don't care - they don't use their own phone numbers and probably aren't in the country.  Go ahead and file a complaint and see what our government does - NOTHING.  And this is a political call which our government says is completely legal.  Take off your rosy glasses.

Hit 1, and they won't call you back again.  No, they'll sell your number to someone else with a need for phone numbers with live warm bodies answering.

The voice mail gave its schpiel, "leave your number at the beep"; then it beep'd; a moment passes... A woman's voice says, "Hello?"; then the sound of phone hanging up; then the second beep.  Sheesh, clueless much?

I might have picked up if there was SOME SORT of ID, if only to tell them they had the wrong number.  HA!  Not.

I really wish there was an opt-in for receiving political, charity etc calls.  Sure you have a right to free speech, but I have a bigger right to NOT BE ANNOYED!!!!

Political and charitable calls are exempted from the Do Not Call index.  However, many companies do random numbers and there are few teeth in the law.  I've suggested a hefty fine (e.g., $100/call made by the company answered or not) plus costs of finding, prosecuting and collecting, with no recourse to bankruptcy and if the company cannot pay all the costs, those in charge of the companies would be held legally responsible for the rest, again without being permitted to declare bankruptcy, with any and all property being subject to being taken to meet the fine/costs, including homes, cars, savings, retirement, investments, jewelry, etc., and any property in others' names paid for in part by income from the business.  However, this concept has not gained traction.  Given the number of calls per company, plus their being responsible for the costs of finding, etc. them,  it would be profitable for private parties to track down many of these companies and turn them over for prosecution.  Calls from outside the the U.S., which are many, would be harder to control unless their is a suspension of U.S. laws to capture and take violators and their property since capture teams would need to be sent in and the violators brought back outside usual legal ways.

Received a call but no message was left.  I had gotten a call earlier that had my own name and phone number on the caller id...so thought maybe this was them calling again.
