The number registers on my cell phone at least once every weekday. It rings up until about 7 p.m. I jsut push the Off button on the phone and that ends it ... until the next day. We're having a mayoral election here in November so that's probably the deal. But, I'll tell you, if I find out what fool is paying for this, I wouldn't vote for them if my life depended on it!

Pretty sure this is a scam. They are phishing. Don't answer, don't call back, don't give them any personal info.

Called and i will not answer the number IF i do  not know you.and if this is some political waste of the tax payers money then shame on them I have blocked their calls so i will not be bothered by these people who have no business asking whom or what i am voting for .

They just called again .apparently people with nothing to do but waste someone elses time with their stupid calling.

When I called back to have this annoying caller remover # from their list... I was only given the option of calling another # to speak with "exciting ladies"! This must be how they get away with telemarketing scams. Iam fuming!

this is the third time they have called and i am not Interested in doing any favors for these kind of people...reported them to the National Registry.Tired of people bothering me.

Some kind of a push/pull poll. I asked the lady nicely to let me speak. While her verbal diahriha was continuing, I then asked her to please shut up. She then hung up on me.

calls all the time. has another number they use to 225-257-5540 out of la. i think it's baton rouge. never leaves messages always a hang up but continues to call using both numbers. please stop calling.

The Do Not Call Registry is useless.

I received a call with no answer when I said hello.   Annoying!

Called six (!) times yesterday. No one on the line any of the four times I picked up.

Got someone on the first try today. Election survey. Claimed to be calling on behalf of Marjorie Decker, candidate for re-election to City Council in Cambridge, MA.

Guess who isn't going to get *my* vote this time 'round?

Caller was a recorded message identifying himself as Mr. Bright, a former member of the Illinois Regulatory Commission. He told of a Canadian electric company that wants to build a power plant in Illinois funded by Illinois electrical customers, and electric utility bills would be seven times higher. He claimed the Illinois senate vetoed this plan 3 times, but the Canadian company is still pursuing the matter. Bright said to Press 1 to leave a voice message describing my feelings on the issue. There are too many doubtful claims about this message ... don't fall for it!

Recorded political message:

"This call is to remind you to vote 'yes' on .... on Nov. 8."

"This is a paid political announcement paid for by the St. Petersburg Chamber in St. Petersburg, Fla."

I received a similar robocall but I thought the recording said that he was formerly the head of the ICC (not the IRC) -- not that that matters -- but I also thought he was calling about the Illinois legislature and their upcoming vote on the smart grid bill (the one that had already passed).  I guess I wasn't listening closely enough and tuned out when I heard 'electric company.'

Sadly, political calls are exempt from the government's do not call list EXCEPT when you explicitly tell them not to call you.

I feel exactly the same way!  If there are politicians out there reading this, you should know that a lot of people are annoyed by political robocalls and, in fact, will go out of their way NOT to vote for you.  Do you get it now?
