You're absolutely correct Steve P.  These "conservatives" want SMALL government, but then when that's what they get (underfunded and weak services), they royally complain, blame the government and other parties for the failure that they, themselves, voted for.  If you don't want weak enforcement of laws, underfunded government services and an overall poorly functioning country, then stop asking for it by voting these obstructionist republicans into office.

I agree, the Do Not Call list is a joke most of the time, I only know one time that they have helped the public, they stopped the IRS calls. They report them to the FBI, and the criminals were arrest.

I get calls from 800-816-3521 2-3 times a day.  I don't know how true it is but someone told me that these companies get paid by how many people they talk to and get them to finish the survey or poll, etc.  So they have a huge incentive to keep calling you and get you to answer the phone.  My phone has been going crazy for the last 6-8 months from companies that conduct polls and surveys.  It's NUTS!!  We need to write or talk to our politicians that we don't want unwanted calls and to leaves us the heck alone!!   As far as I am concerned the Do Not Call registry is a way for all these companies to obtain our phone #'s and call us.  I bet that's what the politicians wanted so when they run for office they can call everyone to conduct polls.  It's a no-brainer.  It's all the government's fault.  The list should be confidential and only given out to FOR-PROFIT companies after they have provided a Business Savings or Checking account number so that if they violate the law, the fines get automatically withdrawn from it.  If they don't have the funds to cover it, the IRS goes after them or they get a subpoena to appear in Court.  The other non-profit & "political" companies should NOT get to see the DNC list.  Let them work to find your ph#.  That's what they should have done.

I called back, too. They are a survey site. Political, products and services. If you want to give your opinion, go ahead. No reason to block if tou want to be part of their info-gathering. They aren't selling anything. At least they are American so I might give them a shot.

Scumbags who are very annoying and I think a lol crazy

They just called at 10 p.m. Scared me, because calls to this house at that hour are not good news. Doubly p o'd to hear commenters here say it's political junk. Politicians who do not pay attention to details like this will never get my vote.

A call at 8:45 pm. Rang 2 or 3 times. No message. That's way too late for any 800 number to be calling for any reason.
