Have received several calls, but since I don't recognize the number, I don't pick up and they leave no voice mail

This number has been recorded on caller ID for several days and they never leave a message. This morning I answered the call and there was no one there!

DON'T EVEN ANSWER IT...Like Tony said, it's SunTrust Bank Collection Department,  harassing you to make a payment. I been a customer for 4 years paying $550 p/month, never been late. Called to let them know I will not be able to make payment due to sudden business crisis and request a "skip-a-payment" or "hardship" making only interest payments for the next 2 months. THE ANSWER WAS NO, but for "skip-a-payment" can be arrange for $15 calling customer service witch I did accomplish.

This 800-828-7959 people keep on calling me at work 3 to 5 times and today at 8:23am, then at 9:09am and again at 9:55am. At home the same but they never leave any messages but he did say to pay or we'll come and take your truck...That is so illegal, threating me and calling my work #, so it's better not to answer it at all. SUNTRUST SUCK!!

Here is there other # used that's linked to the 800-828-7959. They just called me again at work, did a search and it's SUNTRUST again! This is the fourth time calling me at work today , four calls within 2 hours and not even noon yet.

they keep calling me, but never leave a message.  i don't even have any sort of account with suntrust bank, and i never have.  these calls only started a few months ago, and it's getting REALLY annoying.  how can i make it stop?

Yes i am also getting harrassed by them.  I dont have any suntrust account and never have.  Got the call from the 1962 number the other day and I told them i had no account.  Now they are calling again from the 1-800-828-7959 number. Really annoying as well.

To make it stop, you need to call the 800 number and advise the rep that they are calling your number by mistake and you do not have an account with them.  You will need to provide the number that they called so they can find what account it is associated with.

This guy called all of my phone numbers today claiming to be a sherriff and wanting to serve my mother in law papers.  I am not associated with her accounts and He lied to me, my husband, and scared my kids who now think their granmda is in trouble with a sherriff.

My cell phone was called from a autodialer once a day for about a week.  Annoying long pause while I'm connected to a rep, who in a heavily accented voice asks for a name I don't recognize.  I say "wrong number" and hang up.  Today the autodialer calls and I get silence.  I hang up and dial 800-828-7959.  Press 0 for the operator and explain that they have a wrong number.  They were polite enough, but the first half-dozen "wrong number" replies should have clued them in that they had the wrong number.

They called me today and I only typed in the phone number here into google because I was very confused who would be leaving a message that they were calling for a sherriff.  Bank, insitution or whatever that has to be illegal.

I don't think I've ever heard of this bank before and certainly can't have an account with them.

I will ignore all future attempts - they left this message with my retired mother at my old home address.  Nice that she was worried I was going to jail.  Even if I did in fact owe them a debt...that kind of behavior sure ain't going to help them out.

I do not have a SunTrust account, yet the 800-8282-7959 calls my home on a bi-weekly basis.

this is suntrust w/ a payment reminder thats not even due yet..by the way it is illegal for anyone to threaten you w/ sheriff, etc...heres a great site to go to for info on what to do if u get any kind of debt calls...even tells u what to do to get the calls to stop coming to ur home or work:

this site even tells u by state, if statute of limitations is up on a debt and what u can do to stop harrassment.

I get called by this number, which is Suntrust every month.  I have a car loan with them, which has a grace period.  I've never made a late payment, and since a grace period is offered, I use it.  I get hasseled by them every month even though I've never been late.  I quit answering the phone and  they don't leave a message.

This number continues to call and not leave a message.  If it is from Suntrust, I do NOT have an accout with them and never have.

Yet another number that calls everyday.  I see from the comments that this is SunTrust even though the Caller ID shows Crestar bank.  I do not answer even though we have a car financed through SunTrust...our payment is not late.
