someone called my cell saying they were from the IRS.  The accent was Indian.  They say that the phone will be recorded and anything I say can be used against me in the court of law.  I then hung up.  They called right back but did not answer.  When you call the number back it is the IRS.  Somehow they are able to get the IRS phone number to show up on your caller ID.  Don't fall for it.  Its a scam

Keep getting messages IRS is filing a Law Suit. Cannot get rid of these calls, I am sure it is bogus.

Just got a call from this number and they said they were the IRS.  When I told them I knew it was a scam, he mumbled and then said he needed to ask me something.  Then he said he wanted to suck my ass!!  When you call back, they make it sound like the actual government agency and tell you to go the the government website.  Totally a scam!

This person keeps calling and saying they are the IRS.  You can't even understand them.  Then they said sexually explicit things to me!  Called came from this number: 800-829-4933 which when you google, appears to be a legit number for the IRS.  How are they using this number?

I've received 3 calls from this number.  Someone with poor English says something about the IRS and then hangs up.  I have called the number back and it is an English speaking recording saying it's the IRS.  You're to push 1 for this and 2 for that and so on.

Scammers can spoof caller ID and make it look like they are any legitimate business. When in doubt, hang up and call direct. Never give out ANY info to cold callers. Ignore and block any strange numbers that don't leave a message.

They called me today and claim it was IRS

Just spent 20 minutes on a call from this number.  An India accent with the name of officer 'Alex Brown'. Ya right? IRS doesn't call people.  I wanted to hear what their scam was.  If I didn't 'pay' my tax fraud from 2010-2015 they were going to take me to court and sue me for $48K.  They couldn't provide me with any of my 'tax' info.  With a mirage of questions to 'Alex Brown' he hung up!

Got a call from 5hi number asking for either Soma or Ms. Doma...i was walking thru traffic so it was hard to hear.  When i told them they had the wrong number they asked if they could get my name and i said "nope.  You were told I'm not the person you're looking for your going to have to try a different number."  I didnt here if they identified themselves as irs.  I have hotten automated messages supposedly from irs.  My intent is to pretend to be with an irs agent if i ever get a live scammer.

Just got a phone call from this number, the indian accent asked for Mr. Marks, I  said there is no one here by that name, he said you sound sweet mam and I  love you.  I  cannot repeat what I  replied to him! Scam, scum !!!

this number keeps calling and harassing me - very rude and hard to understand saying I owe money which is a total scam !

They have called me twice a week for 3 weeks now, he said I didn't pay the right amount... they said the amount I paid between 2011-2015 was 2700.... I've only filled my taxes for 2015... and I didn't pay no 2700... so is it against the law for these punks to continue to harass me?

I've received two phone calls from this number today.  The first call I took, the second call hung up on me as soon as I answered.  It was pretty clear that it was a scam right from the start.  The middle eastern accent combined with the complete lack of ability to answer any of my questions, and the smart [***] attitude he had gave him away from the "jump".  I have since blocked that number.
Only confusing part is that the call came from an actual IRS listed phone number.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone.  The man identified himself as an officer of the IRS.  I immediately told him to stop calling my number and hung up.  I know that the IRS does not call you on the telephone and that these people are trying to get you to pay money unnecessarily.

They call from that number at lest 2 to three times a day.  A lady will get on and start singing. And laugh and then sing again.  They have been doing this for about a month.  It is really something else.

Got a call as well from this number... creepy stuff that they can fake caller ID phone numbers... the IRS has official phishing email address phishing@irs.gov, I suggest you all post your experience on there.

Got a call today from fake IRS phone #.  they knew my first name.  Indian or Nigerian accent, claimed to be and IRS "officer".  Caller ID showed a legit IRS  ph #.  IRS website under "scams" link stated that the scammer can sometimes know personal info about you and duplicate IRS ph# on caller ID.  IRS will send mail first before any phone calls.  Take a breath, be thankful, this call is a scam!

I have blocked several numbers that keep calling me and leaving messages about being investigated by the IRS. Now this number comes up but they leave no message this time.  I called back but got a legit IRS rep that assured me that I would be contacted by mail if I had an open case.
