This number is not VISA. I did receive a call from 1-800-847-2911 on 3-16-2017 and did not answer and received no voice message. After reading the posts online about this pirated VISA number (this is not a call from VISA), I thought i would post just to let people know that this number is still being used to scam people and not to answer it. I als reported it to the ftc

Got the call from 803-408-9761... asked for the company name, he said "Card Services", then asked for a  # he gave me 800-847-2911rep ID TP10081, they offer to lower your account interest rate, so I said which account, and he said all of them (LOL) then asked him what was the lowest rate and he said 0%, then I asked him where this "Card Services Company" located, and he said "I don't have time for that" and ended the call.... Total SCAM hehe... at least this time the guy didn't have a really strong accent.

The scary thing about this is that 800-847-2911 is a LEGIT # for VISA, but the caller is a scammer!  I called VISA and they are aware that scammers are "masking" the phone number so it looks like VISA is calling.  Be careful - any calls like this, just hang up the phone!

Received call from 408-373-3348 claiming to represent VISA/Mastercard Services on behalf of Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, etc. They claimed they could lower my interest rate below 5%. They said they were reading information from my Experian credit report. They asked me for card numbers, balances, zip codes, etc. I repeatedly asked them to verify who they were and how the process worked to lower my interest rate. Their answers were not satisfactory. A manager came on the line and finally provided two sources of information - Visa Credit Card Assistance 800-847-2911 Mastercard Credit Card Assistance 800-622-7747. I looked up Mastercard Credit Card Assistance and found this page that indicated "THEY ARE JUST PHISHING FOR INFORMATION".

Just got a call today from this number. After reading through posts below it is clear that this is a long operating and sophisticated scam center for stealing CC info. I can't believe the Feds haven't shut this down yet.

An Ignorant and Belligerent Man from 1-800-847-2911 with a Thick Pakistani Accent wanted my Credit Card Numbers.
I told him to go to Hell and never call again. Do not to talk to the [***] as they are out to scam you and charge up your Credi Card.

Got a call today saying that I can get a 3% interest rate for the rest of my life on my visa. Then for verification they asked for my expiration  date on my Visa.  Asked them which bank issued the card and said CIBC. I don't bank with CIBC.  It is a scam! be careful.  Call was on April 14, 2017

THIS IS A SCAM - HANG UP!
Just got a call from 210-628-1193 Indian guy, saying he represented all the major card carriers, tried to get me to repeat ALL the digits of my account number to him... when I pushed back he got very hard sales --- said he'd lower rates, etc and had all my info anyway but had to verify... when i asked him to give me some info to prove he was my carrier he put me on hold and then came back and said he couldn't do it, pressed me for my card number.  I asked him for the phone number so I could call back - he told me "1.800.VISA.911" I said that wasn't even enough digits to call back... he quickly changed it to '1.800.VISA.2911" - HANG UP this is a total phishing call- the lowest of the low to call and try to steal people's credit info!

Just received a call from 541 295-2591 offering 0% on all my credit cards.  I refused to give them any details, ask for information via snail mail and stopped the call.  Minutes later received call from 800 847-2911, same guy asking if I could hear him out. Said No, he insisted so I asked him to spell out every word what he says so I understand since I don't speak English very well.  Call ended.
