- SteveJust got another call from 18008472911 said press one or two in the response. as it was their final attempt at collecting from me monies owed or just to lower my interest rate. I pressed one to hear what they had to say, it hung up. i contacted the same number since this number is the Visa call in number. The gentleman said that Visa will never call you about anything like this and that scammers have copied the number and are skimming monies from people. Never give out personal information. Then he told me how to block the number. The only thing he asked of me was my first name.
- Jo replies to AlHad the same thing. The caller ID said "Visa Lost-Stole" It was a scam. They wanted my cc numbers. So tired of the same old, same old and the Do Not Call List is a joke and totally useless.

- Kaltel replies to answerActually they do not need to pay for your phone number, the scammers can just robodial with a computer starting at 000-000-0001 to 999-999-9999 with a computer and if the line picks up it plays a message to press 1 and if it is pressed it routes to a phone pool of scammers.
- D Wiley| 1 replyDO NOT SHARE ANY INFORMATION WITH THIS INDIVIDUAL. This is a complete fraud scam to get your credit card information. Immediately hang up.
I kept the guy on the phone for 15 minutes to get as much information out of him as I could. Said he was from Visa/Mastercard services and that he was going to lower the rate on my Visa. I asked him which one, he couldn't tell me. I told him I had 0% on my card currently so pick another one. He told me Discover. I told him that Discover was a competitor of Visa/Mastercard so that wouldnt be happening. Said his name was Paul Frank, he did not sound American at all, and gave me a false address that I was unable to locate on Google Maps. I asked him where he got my phone number. He said Experian gave them my number because of my excellent credit. I went to Experian's website and read their privacy policy to him that states Experian will not share any personal information with third parties. I told him i thought he was lying to me and that I wanted to know where he got my number. He then hung up :) I wore him out!- Caller: "Visa/Mastercard Services"
- 800-847-2911I am not sure who this is. The number was spoofed. Someone claimed they had access to my credit card account, then asked me to "confirm" my credit card number. This is a fraud.

- Adreinne WaheedJust had a call from the number. It started with the recorded message to lower my credit card interest rates. I don't have any credit cards. I stayed on the line to press for information, specifically to report this company. She said the name of the company was "Consumer Services". I asked why I was getting the call and she said it was to lower my rates on my Visa and MasterCard accounts. I asked what card company she represented and she said both Visa and MasterCard and that "We're authorized to work with your cards to lower rates for you".

- PO'dThese are criminal identity thieves. Visa does not cold call you, the following is an excerpt I copied and pasted directly from Visa.com regarding phone fraud: "It's important for consumers to know that Visa will not call or e-mail cardholders to request their personal account information. Visa call centers do not initiate outbound telemarketing calls. Consumers should not respond to any e-mails or phone calls with requests for any personal card information and are advised to immediately report the situation to local law enforcement as well as the financial institution that issued their card. Cardholders should also know that Visa's zero liability fraud policy ensures that they are not held responsible for any unauthorized purchases."
I'm going to call my bank after filing a complaint with the FTC. Believe it or not, they actually do catch some of these criminals. Those on foreign soil, however, are practically immune to any prosecution whatsoever.- Caller: VISA
- grannybRecorded message said they had been unsuccessful after several attempts to reach me and this was my FINAL chance to lower my interest rates. Ya, right! I pressed 1 so I could mess with somebody but they disconnected. Now blocked.
