The number is a legitimate WELLS FARGO customer service number, however, the calls are TELEMARKETING/SPAM. When I answered a female voice said that they were offering "Debt Forgiveness" on my account/loan. I only have a Checking account with Wells, so I hung up, as it sounded like a SPAM/TELEMARKETER call. These people have the ability to "spoof" or Copy a Legitimate number to make
it seem like they are legitimate. Don't fall for it!!

Our Landline's attached device, a "CPR V10000 Call Blocker" (Whitelist Mode), silently BLOCKS these unwanted nuisense callers.
Various info sources reveal this Caller as: "UNLISTED", "SPAM - Telemarketer - Robo Call".
(There is a separate Caller ID display panel device connected to our Landline, ahead of the Call Blocker device)

Supposedly they have tried to reach me numerous times about lowering the rate on my credit card account .......  appears to be Wells Fargo but it's not.  Only wish they wouldn't lie when they say it's the final time they will call.

Caller ID said Wells Fargo.  I have no account of any kind with them.  Call was a precorded message saying they would lower my credit card rate.  Total scam!

Msg to lower interest rate. Wells Fargo on caller ID. Told her I knew she wasn’t WF and she played dumb. Told her to get lost. Giggles in the background, all a game to them looking for a sucker.

I received a call from 800-869-3557 that said Wells Fargo. They left a message about having debt erased. I did have an account there at one time but closed it ( and the card) due to poor service. There was certainly no debt involved. Surprised to learn it's a legitimate Wells Fargo number but i suspect it was spoofed. The message was cut off the beginning, like scammers do.

This is definitely spoofed ot hijacked because it has nothing to do with me and Wells Fargo and they don't do business this way.

We got a call from this number yesterday and my elderly mother picked up.  The only thing the person said was F*** you, F*** you.

Missed call, no message.  CID: WELLS FARGO.  I don't have any financial  accounts with Wells, so I am assuming call was FRAUDULENT.

ID says Wells Fargo where I have no accounts. Blocked. Calls multiple times with different numbers.

Spoofed number.  NOT WELLS FARGO.  DO NOT ANSWER!  Criminal scam.

I have received multiple calls from this number.  It is a recorded message; "Hello this is Sarah Reagans this is your final notice from the card member services to eliminate your credit card debt you have been pre-approved as a valued customer for debt validation on your credit cards to speak to a live agent press one now."

While this number does belong to Wells Fargo, it is NOT Wells Fargo calling.  IT IS A SCAM and someone is SPOOFING Wells Fargo's number.

I have threatened Wells Fargo with a law suit over their number being used, as I'm getting 10-15 calls a week from this number.

credit card debt forgiveness scam.  Spoofed wells fargo name and number on CID by india call center scammer.   Scammer claimed "experian" made the phone call on their behalf and then later tried to somehow claim I made the call after I asked him why anyone should trust their scam operation.

Mostly the same experience of other's who are commenting very much what the (FCC) SHOULD be Focusing on to STOP THIS CRAP, I would venture to state FRAUD will be linked to this /these numbers.

No message.....now blocked.

I rec'd four calls in a ten minute time span.  I was not home and they left no message on answering machine.  I guess the calls were from IRS (India Revenue Service)

Spam caller - spoofed number.  Credit SCAM.

Rob's right people: These tele-scammers use VoIP ( Internet phone software ) tech to make their hard to trace calls from India, so the Do Not Call Registry is useless against them. Simply NEVER call them back and let your voicemail service handle the hang up. Remember: Every wasted call these scumbags make is MONEY THEY LOSE.
