They are verbally abusive and threatening. I don't have an account with this bank. The bank is not even in my area. The caller was a recording.

Recorded message. "Attention. Attention. This is Sarah from Wells Fargo and this is the last notice of debt forgiveness (i think that was the word). Please press one to have your debt validated." pause. Then I hung up. My caller id showed Wells Fargo Bnk as the caller.

Received call from someone claiming to be rep from Wells Fargo (Wells Fargo showed up in caller ID) and saying that due to current affairs, all customers were being offered "complete debt forgiveness. If you are interested in complete debt forgiveness, please press 1."  I hung up immediately. No way would this be a real call from Wells Fargo. Probably phishing to get credit card numbers.

Yes, this scam seems to be "popular" again right now.  I also got a call today from this number with Wells Fargo caller ID.  Robocall claiming to be from Sarah saying it was the final notice for debt forgiveness (or some such nonsense).  Clearly a spoofed number and spoofed caller ID.  Criminals out to try to get some $$$ (and/or personal info) from some poor soul who gets tricked into thinking it's legit.

Got a call this morning, caller ID said Wells Fargo, since I’m a customer I answered, the recording said something about debt forgiveness, press one for more info.  I hung up

Gotten four call so far today from fake Wells Fargo. Two from this number and two from 800 225 5935. Same debt forgiveness recording. That means I’ve gotten my last chance four times so far today.

Called to validate a charge made on my credit card.  I don't bank with Wells Fargo.

When I said, "I'm waiting" I got a hang up.

CID displayed Wells Fargo. On answering a recording said Wells Fargo is offering full debt forgiveness during the difficult time. Recording said press 1 to validate debt.  I hung up.

Recording—-press 1 for a mid eastern con man. Can man came on & I insulted his religion, commented on his sexual attraction to pigs, & asked about his scam. He hung up on me?

Criminal call center in India spoofing a Wells Fargo phone number for a common credit card scam.
This is not Wells Fargo calling, they will not call you like this.
There is no such thing as "visa/mastercard service" or "card member services".
There are over 300,000 call centers in India and many are criminal scams (others are the legitimate but lousy customer service for your cable company).
They have no concern for our laws or the DNC list.
Just hang up.
