Guy by the name of James Merriman just left a message on our machine today, said he had great news about federal tax matter.  Left the number 800-880-7318x162 , 20/20 Financial to call back.  Funny, our number is on the Do Not Call Registry!

They call my office and my secretary answered and they wanted to talk to the owner stating they were following up on federal tax matter. They would not give any info because it was a private matter. I called and it was a scam. Be careful not to give out any personal info. I hung up soon as I hear there recording.

I saw the phone number so I decided not to answer it. Damon something or rather left a voicemail advising that he needed to talk to the owner "regarding good news about a state tax matter". We have no state tax matter. Bogus.

Answered a call on our business line at 6:45 AM PDT.

Erica Stanton, of 20/20 Financial had 'good news about tax matter" and asked that I relay the message and have someone call her back at 800-880-7313X118.

Just got a call from a man named John Stenacker and called my work..(I work at a car dealership) he asked for the owner and i told them they were not available and he asked me to leave a message saying he was from 20/20 financial and he has good news about a federal tax matter... BULL CRAP!

Received a call from a David Moore reference real estate auctions and a federal tax matter.  Called as we are doing many auctions and thought it was related.  They answered was 20/20 and no business I'm dealing with.  Bogus, but good a targeting their audience.

Lucia called today and asked for the owner to discuss a state tax matter. I thought, if she knows about a state tax matter, she would have known more about the company and who the owner was.

Got a call just now from John Stenaker who wanted to speak to our administration because they had "good news" about our clinic in a neighboring town... I told him we didn't have a clinic there... he read me the address, and I confirmed that we didn't have a location there... he said they must have wrong information and to disregard the call... not rude, just very 'to the point'... wonder if 20/20 tracks their staff on here to see if they are doing their job and calling everywhere for bogus stuff - lol!

we receive calls from these people about every week, Victor James and several other people.  no matter what you tell these people they are very rude, and act like you have no clue about your own tax situations.  I threatened to call the BBB if they continued to call.

We just got call from this company asking for the owner of the company saying had 'good news about federal tax matter the guy name was Menno Stein very rude

Received a call from a Todd Packston from "20/20".  "Need to speak to the owner regarding a state tax matter that the business is dealing with".  Sounded very professional but there is no matter and these people are trying to have you assume that they are from 20/20 the news program and there is some big problem, when in fact, it's some 20/20 Financial group.  Don't call back and report these kooks to the state.

"Mike Bond" uses exactly the same "good news about a federal tax matter" script that all the others use, after being repeatedly told that finances and accounting are not discussed over telephone solicitations.

Another from "Mike Bond" still oblivious that accountancy is not available on the telephone.  This time with a blocked-ID call.

The Federal Do Not Call Registry does not apply to anything related to IRS back taxes. You can call the IRS yourself to confirm.

received call from company called 20/20 financial looking for "all star cleaning" over a tax matter.  The number they called was a private residence and I have never owned a business.  The answering machine clearly states this is a private residence and not a business.  Do people not actively listen to anything anymore?  When I tried to call the number back to let them know I was not the person they were looking for, I never could get through.  After reading other posts I see I am not the only person who has had problems with these types of calls

Got a call from a Sampson White who was very snotty when told the owner wasn't in. These people have called before and are just rude. This guy's number was 800-880-7318 ext. 298.  The daily life is already filled with too many issues; people who create new unnecessary stresses for you should be banned from using a telephone while the rest of us work ourselves to the bone to rescue this economy.

Received two calls from Keene: ...important tax matter and must speak with the owner... blah blah blah. Called the number back, 18008807318,est 159, and got someone else's voice mail. I hung up. Are there people out there stupid enough to fall for this c%@p?

Keene Monahan with 20/20 Financial left message and then called back this morning regarding "important back tax issue with the IRS".  I told him to removed us from his calling list, he said it was not a sales call, then said he had important information for us regarding our corporation, again I told him to take us off his calling list, he said good luck with your tax problems and I hung up.

I also received a phone call from this "Keene Monahan" regarding a "state tax lien" applied to my business...now, my business has a common name and I have no tax debt so I called the state of Wisconsin taxing authority directly and BOOM! No tax lien on my business, I guess it was one with a similar name in a neighboring town. SCAM SCAM SCAM
