Caller called from 720-974-9232.  Said she was with 20/20 had good news about "the tax matter".  left the phone number 800-880-7318 ext 109 said her name was Amy Sheldon.

Don't call this number 800-880-7918 20/20 this is a scam. When I need help I will seek it.

Wow, good to know I am not alone. Try to be very polite but with underlying snottiness.

we have received 2 calls in the last week from this number.  I told the first caller that I would get ahold of my state contact, he said that was not necessary, he could take care of the "problem".

THEY ARE THE PROBLEM!!!!!!  QUIT wasting our time.

20 20 Tax Advisors or 20 20 Financial is SCAM and CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION.
HERE'S HOW THEIR SCAM WORKS:
First, you are contacted by boiler-room telemarketer repeatedly.  They will make ANY FALSE STATEMENT regarding a federal tax lien filed against you or "a tax problem" or "good news regarding a tax matter."  They are reading FROM A TELEMARKETER SCRIPT.  For example, they will assert, "You've been assigned 'Priority Enforcement Status by the IRS, and you must retain our services."  IT IS ALL LIES!!!
Second, they demand you send them a RETAINER; they will have FEDEX pick this up from you.  This is designed to create "a sense of urgency" to solve problem.  This "RETAINER" is split between the telemarketer on commission and the three owners of the business:  Brian Biffle, Hansen Rada, and Tim Shey.  Once you send that MONEY, IT IS GONE FOREVER!!!
Third, you will be assigned to an "ASSOCIATE."  They never say "ATTORNEY or CPA" because none of these associates either have that designation, nor any real financial knowledge.  They are driven like fraudulent slaves by RICHARD DAVIDSON, who represents himself as an attorney, but is not a licensed attorney in the state of Colorado (check: www.cobar.org).  These associates only get paid IF YOU SEND THEM MORE MONEY.  They have a written commission schedule with the owners that they must extort more money from paying clients.  If they do not receive more money, they do not get paid.  Thus, they will thwart, hinder, undermine, and delay any possible solution to any tax problem in order to extort more money from you, if you do not send it, "you're file will be closed."
Fourth, they charge you a $175/hour retainer for form letters it takes them minutes to print, $90/hour for "PARA'S" (note, they never say para-legal or paraprofessional because these gals aren't licensed paralegals) to do nothing but print more form letters, and THEY CANNOT LEGALLY REPRESENT YOU BEFORE THE IRS !!!
FACTOID:  The three owners: BRIAN BIFFLE, HANSEN RADA, and TIM SHEY pay themselves in excess of $250,000/year based on scamming people.  None of these three SCAM ARTISTS are a CPA, ATTORNEY, or an ENROLLED AGENT, but they've built a boiler room / scam mill by lying to people.

i received many times call from 1800-880-7318 ext 112 diferents names :  Manuel Figueroa,Jodi Keim...ext 165...says referent 20/20 taxes..????
persons rude and impolite people ... trying to get information of any debt of taxes .. people die that were fraudulent ... try to investigate this issue and see that there are many Complaints ... anyone know where I can report to be investigated? or blocked?

Found a message from Jeff Willilams with a company called 20/20 re: "good news about a state tax matter". Left his number as 800-880-7318 ext 164. Left the message for my husband. JW was polite enough, and we do have a lien right now but you would be working DIRECTLY with your state tax office and not a 3rd party. Our state tax office does not make phone calls and you must go there in-person or write to them. Obviously, this company is scanning the public domain records looking for unsuspecting individuals. Do not call them back!

20/20 assists companies who owe the IRS money and a levy has been filed. If the IRS has filed a levy on your business, the levy is public information. There are companies that offer to represent the the tax issue on behalf of the business owner, that is what 20/20 does. There are several companies like 20/20 pulling the levy information from the same public record report. They usually call several times due to the competition. As frustrating as it is, I am sure the business owner appreciates the discretion when a message is left. If a business is struggling financially and has the IRS filing levy's, the owner is most likely pleased the messages come across as "good news with your tax matter". Even if they act upset.
It's not collections, it's a business looking for companies that are struggling with tax matters. They make their money by trying to eliminate the penalty and interest incurred with the back tax owed.

I work at a CPA firm and have received 3 - 4 calls from a "Aaron Henderson" from this phone number, at extension 289.  He would ask for my boss, and when I ask for his name, he would give me his name, followed by "this is regarding a tax matter".  When he called today, he said that he won't be calling again.

Honestly, I wish they would at least research who they're calling.  If it's a tax matter, as a CPA firm, we would be handling it ourselves DUH!!!

Just got a voice mail from Susie at 20/20 regarding "good news". The number she left was 888-299-0405 ext 113.

Brian Biffle, the President of 20/20, is an MBA and Enrolled Agent licensed by the United States Treasury. His Enrolled Agent status can be confirmed with the Office of Professional Responsibility.

Richard Davidson, the managing partner, is also an Enrolled Agent. That information can be confirmed with the OPR as well.

In addition, 20/20 employs twenty-two (22) licensed tax professionals, ALL OF THEM are Attorneys under the Colorado Bar, Enrolled Agents licensed by the U.S. Treasury, or both.

I suggest that you do your research before posting slander. The biographies and professional licenses or certifications of every tax professional on staff can be found on the website for 20/20; www.2020taxresolution.com.

Got a call from Richard O'Brien. He has called every day for the past 5 days.  Have told him every time we are dealing with our situation. He is very rude.  I called back and spoke with his supervisor, Rob. Was very nice and said would get to the bottom of it. Supposedly all calls are recorded and would deal with it.

This is 20/20 Tax Resolution in Broomfield, CO.  I went to the trouble to research all these types of companies.  Names, addresses, google research, BBB research, and in some cases supreme court research.  Thousands of people hire these companies every month.  I tried to be as impartial as I could, “just the facts.”  Some of them have multiple locations, and some of them have multiple names in the same location.  14 Linked reviews for all the companies are at the bottom of the article.

20/20 has "SCAMMED" over 10,000 naive businesses and individuals BY CONTINUALLY SENDING MORE "retainers" via Fedex, while never actually solving a damn thing.

Their business model is a QUOTA sytem to bill existing clients additional money while intentionally not doing anything.

This is a total lie.  I used to work there and there are so many horrifically rude and crude telemarketers at 20/20.  They are a horrible bunch and the managers and owners are totally aware of this behavior.  The managers and owners are just as rude!

HaHaHa!  Jessie Bond is about 19 years old and just works in their leads department!  He is NOT a supervisor!  The probably laughed at you.

They do not record all calls and Rob Fineman is the biggest jerk out there!  I'm sure Rob and Richard had  a good laugh at your expense when you got off the phone.

Received a call asking for the owner.  I took the call.  Gentleman introduced himself as Gregg Channing a tax attorney calling to help out with the tax lein filed against my business.  He didn't have any real info except our name, a dollar amount and date filed.  I was not aware of any problems nor was my accountant.  I checked with the county clerks office and there was nothing filed with them.  How do people get away with this?  I hope others wise up and do a little fact checking before believing these types of phone calls.  What a waste of my time.

They called today warning that a "tax lien" had been filed against me.

It's a scam. No such lien was filed.

If you receive a call from these jokers, hang up and block their number immediately.

They call multiple times a day! I tell them not to call and they keep calling!
