This is a legitimate call.
When there is a power outage in an Xcel Energy market, the computer calls those numbers in the affected areas when power has been restored.You can call to have your number removed of that notification.

Legit- Xcel Energy called and left a message that they were going to be doing some repair work in my community and asked residents to reduce electric consumption.

Legit call from Xcel Energy about tree trimming in the area.

Excel Energy called and said 13 feet of snow causing problems around gas meters.  With blocking and freezing.  So this is a real phone number

They have somehow gotten the Xcel number to show up on the caller ID. Not real!  Xcel would not ask for a pre paid card and you would get several notices before they shut you off.

He call ask for the owner  I told  him she not hear and ask about me I say I'm just a worker and he ask me this is  Saigon nails I say yes and  he said we have a past due  and just hang up on him because I know I never late pay my bills

I just received the same message from Xcel not being able to read our meter yet we received our bill the next day AND online usage  is being recorded daily.
Best bet is to call them back NOT using the number left on the message. #dontrustoddmessages

This is a legit call from Xcel they left message about inspection of tele poles need access to yard to take wood samples.  Answer this one :)

About an outage at my address and even said my numeral number instead of in your area.  No restoration estimate, working to take care of it, and will call with updated information when available.  Appologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.  The kicker- there was no outage then.  there was earlier in the month, but gave restoration time.

Scammers from India have spoofed this number to make you think it is really Xcel Energy. Third call TODAY to our business that Xcel is giving us a courtesy call before they cut off our power for non-payment. I checked our account online and it is current. I have talked to REAL Xcel people that have told me they would NEVER shut the power off at a business, even if the payments are behind. ALL of these callers have an Indian accent and sound like they are reading off a script. The other scam number that called today is 877-895-4999, which was spoofed from Duke Energy in FL. DO NOT engage these scammers!! If you have any doubt, hang up and call the number on your billing statement.

Had several calls today from this number. Put a block on it. When I looked it up on this website and saw that it was Xcel Energy calling, I called them back and asked why they were calling me. They couldn't find any notations on my account for why they should be calling me. I informed them that I had the number blocked and unless they added the company name to the number so I could see it was them calling, the number stays blocked.
