I received this call (no name to call back)twice in the last week.  I'm happy I read these notes as I will not be calling them back.  I received a reference # too:  re: 24519086.  I am also registered on the DNC list.

I received a message from this number, saying the had an important call for me. . . leaving a reference #.  i too am registered on the DNC list.

same story, called my cell many times. just ignore them...if the matter IS important, they would have all of your #'s and would leave a more detailed msg.

My husband and I have been getting calls from these people for quite some time now. I can't remember when they actually began, but they originally came from an unknown caller with no phone number. An automated message always says, "Hi...I'm calling about some important business. Please call 1-800-900-1372...." Funny thing is the phone number is a separate computerized announcement. This past Wednesday, a phone number FINALLY showed up on the caller ID box: 717-238-7124. I'd be the first one to stand up and cheer if the FEDS would raid this company's Harrisburg, PA offices and put an end to the mysterious daily phone calls once and for all. After all, our number is on state and national do-not-call lists. We've never done business with these people and have no reason whatsoever to speak with them.

They have called me for the past few days with the same "Important" message. The funny thing is I'm a young guy and I only have one credit card that has never even been used so there can't possibly anything to call about as far as credit card collection. Do any of you others have any over due EZ-Pass tickets? Thats the only reason I can come up with for them calling me.

Keeps calling my number concerning a person that doesn't have any affliation with that number, but since it is automated I can't tell them-

they have changed their number!! but it is the same penn credit...18009001382...beware!

I got this same message on my machine.  Here is my deal:  I will not bother ever returning anyones message if they are a machine!  If they are not going to bother with human contact, it cant be "important." If a human ever calls me to follow up and asks why I did not call back, I will simply scream: "Don't ever call me by machine again!  I will never reply unless you have enough respect to have a human contact me instead of voice-automated machines." If it is from business, I will discontinue their services unless they change their policy.

Begin.  My answering machine finally got the call back number, because up until then I had punched number 3 (not here).  When I got someone I told them last week was Jermy mumble mumble mumble, and this week it is Richard P. Begin and neither one lives here has ever lived here and leave me alone.  They will remove my number.  We will see.  This is just baloney.  I have even blocked private number, private name, and they still get through.  What can be done?  Nothing as far as I can tell.

I went to Penn Collection website and called the contact number 1-900-900-1380 appearing on home page. I spoke to a courteous gentleman that looked up my telephone number, confirmed that the person they were trying to reach shared my last name and was NOT me, and my number was removed from the call list.

Quite easy.

Penn Credit Corporation... that lovely freaking recorded message for Michael Murphy, who I do not know and is not at my phone number... left the # to call 1-800-900-1372.  The last company I had like this I looked up online and sent them a letter stating that the person they were looking for was not at the phone number they were calling and to STOP CALLING ME!!! After the letter, I have not heard from that company who always called for Gonzalo Gonzalez.  Good grief!

"by continuing to listen"??? don't be calling MY number for someone that has nothing to do with MY number. Debt? Call them NOT me!
The person that was on MY voice mail was not ME. The number didn't even show on my CELL phone, it just went straight to my voice mail...???!!!
And YES I too am listed on DoNotCall.org - where is the justice???

left a message for Jessica Phillips and no one by that name lives here,  This is not the first time they have done this always with some elses first name and my last name!  I too am on the DNC!

If you dial the direct number, 1-717-238-7124 the automated system will prompt you to search by name. Enter "Donagher". He is the CEO of the company.  

Lucky for me, he just answered the call because he has his business line forwarded to his cell phone.  I asked him how he likes to receive call @ 8:00 p.m on a Sunday evening!  Then I explained that for months I've been dealing with this company calling my home at inopportune times for someone that DOES NOT LIVE HERE! He told me that he will take care of this issue immediately.  We Shall See!

Called and left a message.  Important business etc etc.  1-800-900-1372 is the number they left to call.

THANK YOU so much for this. There are days I'd love to just do a thing where i audio record their butts and turn it lose on the public. I had one very bad experience with a collection agency and I called someone like the Better Business Berueau and it was resolved for them being A**holes.
