- Jcanada| 1 replyGot a call from this number 800-900-1372 said they are Barbara Johson from Penn Credit Corp. and that it was very important. Their number displayed "Private Number" I do not answer these type of phone calls. I have excellent credit and have no problems so I am not calling them back. If it was important they would tell me more details in there message.
- Caller: Penn Credit Corp. (so they say?)
- pennI got a long message from Penn Credit Barbara Johnson. I called back. It's for an Allegheny Power bill from 2006! I asked for paperwork and then I will pay it. NEVER PAY OVER THE PHONE!!!
- William Ford| 1 replyThey called telling me that they were a collection agency for the SC IRS and that I had back due taxes...which I do. They had the exact information including my SS #. They have invaded the SC IRS system. Thank goodness I found out this was a scam before sending money. I wasn't about to send any money except to the SC IRS agency.

- QueenI keep getting a call "Restricted" on my cell phone also from the 800 900 1372 number - automated voice "Barbara Johnson" name left as reference...I am so sick of getting these calls and like most they do not leave no detail information to warrant me returning the call even if I did owe somebody they have to do better than this to get cooperation. I really wish we had some sort of protection from these scammers, debt collectors, etc.!
- Caller: PennCredit
- kimThey left an automated message stating that they had personal information for my husband. Wanted him to call Barbara Johnson at 800-900-1372. We, of course, won't be doing that based on the information everyone has been kind enough to post out here. We knew we didn't have outstanding debts because we just refinanced our mortgage and I'm pretty sure they would have found it. I've filed a complaint with the BBB in the DC area. Penn Credit Corporation has a C rating - sounds like they need to be helped out of business!
- Caller: Penn Credit Corporation
- Call type: Debt collector
- karlSaid I had a $40+ debt that would go to collection in 5 days if I didn't pay over the phone.

- Bobbie replies to AlfalfaThank you... Do you have any additional info about this company? I'm assuming they're getting information from my cell phone. My cell is in my mother's name (family plan) and they called my number looking for her... When you call the "company" back you get the same two people answering the phones.
- Joannethey call all hours and are incredibly persistent -- like harassment
They occasionally leave a message, computer generated. It started happening right after we got a credit check. Scammers. We are up-to-date on all bills and very conservative with our card (always pay in full at the end of the month).- Caller: Penn Credit Dorporation

- Bothered replies to UnearthedWe just got this call today. You asked about EZ pass. We just let it run out but received mail saying we owe something. I'm sure we don't--we just want to discontinue it. Maybe that is the reason for the call. I don't know because I didn't call them back.
- Antoinette OSame here. They left me a message saying Barbara Johnson wants to speak to me. i called back and they asked for my cell #. they asked if I lived where they had and and I said no. they said they wanted to collect a debt from vonage. i said that i had already contacted the BBB and Attorney generals office about vonage and they should look at my history with them. he said we can get it taken care for you with a cc over the phone I said no. - Linda| 1 replyReceived a call today..............checked my home messages from my work number and was told I owe the water company money. I told them I have no debt and the guy said, "well you do now, it's on your credit report." He gave me the name of a particular street that supposedly was the street address where we live...........not the name of the street where we've lived on for the past 34 years. Then, named another street which was a previous address for my son. Just fishing for people with the same last name, I guess.

- LeslyeGot a call for my roommate on my cell phone stating that she needed to call 800-900-1372 - they had an important message for her. I will not be passing the message along.
- LJMI had this credit case resolved 2 years ago and I don't know how they got my number but they started calling recently so I called back They, (who sounded like two thugs might I add) said I have to resubmit information
and now I'm onto them that it's a scam. To think I got all upset over their scam. Don't give them any information, ...they will try to retrieve your current address or whatever they can. They have no information except old phone numbers and addresses.- Call type: Debt collector
- LJM| 1 replyListen, if you want to put these guys out of business, you have got to file a Bureau of Consumer Frauds and Protection COMPLAINT FORM!!!! Just go to www.oag.state.ny.us and get this complaint form and send it in!!
It's the Attorney General's Office and they told me the more people that file a complaint about these scammers, the more merit they have to investigate and shut these guys down. They are scaring people, harassing and stealing, I mean it doesn't get much worse.
