Nice try, scammers.  I don't use Verizon Wireless...been with T-Mobile for years.  But seriously, something needs to be done with the multiple scammers that call here endlessly all day long, every day of the week...short of just simply unplugging all of my phones and advising all of my friends, family, and business associates that I will only respond to text messages from now on.

Got a recorded call saying it was Verizon Wireless calling to verify my service and to press 1 if I had Verizon. I hung up. I've had Verizon for years and never got a call like this before. Some scam I'm sure.

I got a robo call that was barely understandable. It was obviously nonsense, so I hung up. Here is a good article I found about this: http://stopthecap.com/2015/10/05/got-a-call-f ... d-scam-is-back/

Received a call from this number saying that my authorization had been cancelled and to press #1 to speak to a Verizon representative.  I hung up and called Verizon.  They said nothing was wrong with my account and that no one had changed anything on my account.

I did what everyone else should do, put a whole bunch of irrelevant numbers into here. Keeps these people busy with inaccurate information. It's been going on since 2010 look at the posts. Not going to stop, it's obviously spoofed from outside the US. That's the only way to get back at people who do this.

I was working with Verizon wireless today on my cell phone. This is their customer service #. I got a call hrs later. The person had their mic on close to their nose and was breathing loud. They said nothing. I could hear typing and what sounded like a TV in the background. 8009220204
Someone in Verizon is getting inside info and scamming people or someone is spoofing the #. I see reports on 800notes.com that they also got Verizon calls from that #. Some people are being charged

I have not answered any call from Verizon or any other telemarketer. However, this morning I noticed a fraudulent charge on one of my credit cards with reference to VZWRLSS 800-922-0204 in an amount that I do not remember charging anywhere.

Got the clal today, clearly a scam. What worried me, though, was that the person knew my Verizon phone number, my last name, and the last 4 digits of my social. Any idea how they got them?

The call came up on my phone as "Technical Support" the number was 800-922-0204 and said "work" as in it was the caller's work number. So now I'm already suspicious; I answered and the South Asian sounding lady answered the phone talking very fast saying she was from Verizon Wireless and that I had a $100 credit to my account, because of a technical issue. All I needed to do was confirm my passcode and my security code information. I wasn't buying it. I've been with Verizon for 10 years and if they want to credit me, they send me an email. I told the lady that if this is actually Verizon to send me this information to the email account that I have on file. She asked me for my email address, I told her since you can view my account information, you should be able to see the email address I have on file. She said ok and hung up on me.

This is a scam. They claim to be from Verizon but they're not. I've been a customer for 10 years and I've NEVER had Verizon reach out to me to give me a credit; I've called them about an issue, and as a part of the resolution they offered me a credit and sent me a follow up email.

    Just me
This jerk called me this AM saying my cell phone account was cancelled and to press 1.  There's nothing wrong with my phone so I didn't press 1 or even finish the message.  I went online just to double check.  My account was fine.  I googled the number and found this.  I guess they have been around for a while.  It's the same robo voice for calls my sister in another state gets saying they are the police and processing her claim and to press 1.  Scammers!!!
