the number is owned by "Verizon Wireless"

someone from this number tried to bill my MASTERCARD for a payment of $211.  I want to find out who is trying to do this

I was told that I no longer am a member of Verizon Wireless.  How come?

Got a text message from 800-922-0204 "A message from Verizon Wireless.  Please update your phone by dialing *228 then selecting option 1."

I received a call from this number telling me I was selected to receive a $100 credit to my verizon account for my next bill.  After the call I received 2 text messages saying a password was just changed or created in my account and the address and contact information had changed.  I called Verizon, there was no $100 promotion going on, someone had ordered a $275 phone on my account and changed the name & address.  Got it all straight, but this is a scam don't give any type of info out!

I just received a call from 800-922-0204. The man said I was eligible to receive a $100 credit on my bill which he would post right now. I only had to verify some information. I said if he gave me the info I would tell him if it was correct. He said that at Verizon they could not do this and to check the number and call back. I told him I wouldn't give or verify any information because I wasn't convinced he was from Verizon. Very suspicious....everyone beware!

I received a call from a local number, informing that a change had been made in my account. It told me that if I didn't make the changes I should call that 800 number.  I checked my online verizon account and no changes had been made.  SCAM.  

The local number that called me was 480-496-7596

Identity theft alert; fraudulent claims against credit card account are being credited by credit card issuer, and criminal prosecution is imminent.

I got bill $766.76 for nothing this month!!!

Just found a charge on my credit card for $755.96 with the name of VZWRLSS with number 1800-922-0204.  I do not have Verizon wireless.  Someone used by card to charge almost $800.00 to Verizon.  Called my credit card company and they immediately cancelled my card and closed the account.

They are still at it.  They called me twice and it was well after mid-night.  I would love to find out who this is.

I received a call from this number claiming that they were changing my billing and that I would receive seperate bills, I refused then they gave me the following information to verify the call 800-922-0204 operator H108, I called Verizon at the number given 800-922-0204 and this operator #h108 does not exist, and they do not cold call if they are making changes it would be in writing, and I have a freeze on any third parties trying to do this on my phones.

simply do not answer calls from unknown, unavailable, someone not in your phone contacts or any toll free. Simply put if they know you and it is important they will leave a message and their number to reach them at.

This is definitely the best post. Don't answer the phone if you don't recognize the number. They can leave a message (most of the time they don't).

Just got a call too from this number. I have a habit of not answering 800s and unknown numbers. I sometimes don't even answer calls from people on my address book hahaha!

No message, not important!

Did  not answer the call - but did receive a late night call from this number.  How are they getting credit card numbers?  Are people actually giving this caller credit card information?

Guys this scares me. I just called that number and have my social security number. And my name. I am sacred for identity theft. I don't know what to do.

Also got a text that I am approaching my minutes limit. Checking online I am far from that. Same scammer?

Verizon better get its act together.  
It seems they are not too concerned about privacy, if this can go on for a month.
Final straw. Will switch carriers.
