*Be careful* if this number calls you. This is the legitimate number for Verizon Wireless but it's being spoofed by scammers trying to defraud you into thinking it's them calling you but it's not. This number called my cell phone (I'm a Verizon Wireless customer) and I had it saved in my contacts in case I ever needed to cal them for any reason I could speed dial it, so when the scammers that just called me called and spoofed that number it actually came up by name "Verizon Cust Service" on my smart phone display along with that number that I recognized as theirs. I thought it was odd for them to be calling me, especially from that general number for all customers to call but I answered it anyway just in case it was legit. I answered, said "hello" and there was a robo voice (not even a very good one) saying that my account was suspended (false since I'm using it right now to answer this scam call) and to press one to talk to a rep, two to do this, three to do that, etc, etc, I'm sure they all go to the same scammer anyway. (Just to double check, I went directly into our account on web and it was all perfectly fine) So if you are a Verizon Wireless customer and you see this number come in on your caller ID, very high probability it's a  scammer spoofing the number to entice you into thinking it's really VZW Cust Svc. And whatever you do don't give them any account or personal info. You're better off just hanging up as soon as you hear the robo voice. Or better yet, unless you're legitimately expecting them to call, don't answer at all. They have other means of getting in touch with you than this if they have to for whatever reason. Don't be fooled.

I can usually take those messages out of my phone but not this one so I don't know  what's going on  I'm going to my verizon store to find out!!!

They said to reactivate my account press 1 when it was a voicemail if it was actually Verizon they would have called my work...

Got a call from this # saying that my Verizon account was suspended for ''verification''. They then asked for my SSN. Immediately hung up. Verizon will generally text or e-mail when there is any issue with your account

I'm usually very good at catching these scammers, but this one got me. I am a long-time Verizon customer so this sounded ok, but it's not. I gave "Mike" some information, got a Verizon text from him for a verification code and then (finally) got suspicious....hung up, but too late. I called Verizon customer service and got things corrected by the fraud dept. an hour later. Don't be fooled, this is still going on!!!

Recording supposedly from Verizon Wireless saying that our account has been suspended. WE DON'T HAVE VERIZON WIRELESS!

I am a Verizon customer and when this number showed up as "Verizon Wireless" I answered - silence on the other end. The number has been removed from my contacts and blocked.

Got a missed text from this number this morning saying "the authorization code for your request is 674479. If you did not request this code, call 800-972-0204."
I  AM a long time Verizon customer (since before they were even Verizon) I didn't request the code & my account is paid up. I won't be calling that number to report that I did not request any code. What I WILL do is call 6-1-1 & report it to Verizon directly because my Verizon on line account was hacked 3 years ago & my identity was stolen as a result. Drained my bank account, ordered new phones, you name it, these crooks did it. Grrrrrrr

Got a phone call from this number, too, just now - thought it looked familiar, was surprised to learn it was Verizon (supposedly), but something kept me from answering and/or calling it back - glad I followed my instincts and looked the number up - appreciate all the people who have taken the time to post their experiences - and as many people have said/suggested if it's a number you don't recognize, don't answer it!

I've built lots of websites.  Anyone can do it. I think a scammer bought this number and built a website. You can put anything on it and they used Verizon. I too, got a call from this number and I'm not a Verizon. Customer. Scary,

Just got a call from ‭1 (800) 922-0204‬ and an Arabic accent said this is such and such from Sprint.  The tag showed as Verizon and I confronted him on saying Sprint instead of Verizon and he denied saying Sprint.  They wanted my passcode and account info to give me $99.  SCAM/SPAM ripoff...

Caller ID on this call was spoofed.  The phone number actually does belong to Verizon Wireless, it's their business care number.  The call I received however told me that my account was suspended and I should press 1 to reactivate.,  They were trying to trick me to port my number over to whoever they really are,

They didn't buy the phone number, it actually belongs to VZW,  It's their business care number, I have it on my speed dial.  Whoever called you spoofed the number.  It's really easy to do as I program the phone system for my company and I can, in theory, make it say that I am Santa Claus if I wanted to.
