"Same here. Must be an inside job."    Verizon take note.

"Final straw. Will switch carriers."    Verizon take note.

I don't answer toll free numbers, because if they're genuine they'll leave a message.

Best advice is to add them to your address book, say with the letter 'S' for scammer, and set the ringer to silent. Voila!

I have around a hundred of these numbers in my address book, and they no longer waste my time, or leave me vulnerable to a scam.

Even if the number is an official number, it can be "spoofed." This means that a caller appears to be from one location on your caller ID, but it's actually generated somewhere else.

If ever, anyone directly asks to confirm your credit card number, account information, etc., ask for a number and extension to call them back. Do not give the information sight unseen!

got two charges to my credit card  that added up to $900.00 both with this 1-800-92-0204 verizon wireless number
Gave them a call and they said I'll get the money back IF they confirm that charges were actually illegal ......well, I'm not customer for Verizon and I don't live  in Folson where the charges were made so of course they were illegal!

A couple days ago, I received a text message, telling me I had almost exceeded my Verizon voice and text minutes.  I was pretty sure this was not the case, so I just deleted the text.  Then today I received a recorded phone call.  (I answer 800 numbers, because my pharmacy uses an 800 #).  The recording said the same as the text, that I was almost exceeding my Verizon voice and text minutes.  I didn't listen to the entire message.  They identified themselves as Verizon.  Instead I went online and checked, and there is NO issue with my minutes.  I sent an email to Verizon.  I looked up the phone number in my received calls and it was this number 800-922-0204.  And, now I see all these other comments.

My only advice is to be skeptical about EVERYTHING!  I never give out information, I never click on links from emails, etc.
    • Caller: allegedly Verizon (I doubt it)

P.S.  My concern is - for those of you who have gotten bills or charges on your credit cards, how did the scammers get your information?  If you didn't give it to them, can they get it just by texting or calling your cell?
    • Caller: Verizon, allegedly

    WATCHOUT...!
This is a Bill Collector; they have found a clever way to disguise themselves. If they know your phone service is T-Mobile or Verizon for example, they use an ID faker to disguise their phone# and get you to answer the call and harass you. If your phone service provider needs to speak with you, they will leave a message or text you. You can also check you account on line.
If you talk to this bill collector, ask him/her to call the White House and ask for President Obama; may be he can bail them out.

Its Verizon Wireless people. Check our their website and you'll notice this is the customer service number. You can even visit a store. I'm not the smartest and it took me 5 seconds to search for the number and find it on the website.

I received a call from this number, found this website and decided to do a little searching myself. Believe it or not folks, this truly is Verizon Wireless...here's a link that will go directly to the Verizon Wireless answers to FAQs page and this number is on their website. They call it their "Landline".
