I called the phone  (800) 716-6429 per the Deanna letter above and found it is a collection agency looking for a Mr. James Savage who may have had my cell phone number years ago. They said they'd remove my number from their call list.

These people bought my account from Capital One. We owe these people nothing. If one gambles sometimes they lose -- as in this case. They claim they represent Capital One. My wife has been in banking all her life. They bought the account and we owe them NOTHING. They lost the bet.

I have been getting calls from this number for weeks now. Every time I call it back it would always say they were closed to call back during business hours, except I was calling during those hours. Today was the first time they actually left a message on my voice mail however it was automated and started recording as my message was playing so I only got half of the message and it didn't include a phone number. UGH! So I decided to try and call the number back one last time and actually got a human on the phone...shocking I know! They were looking for some guy I have never heard of. I told the man that this was a new number for me (only about 4 months old) and that I did not know this person to please remove me from the call list because I was tired of being woke up in the mornings. He assured me he was doing it as we spoke and by the time we got off the phone he said it was taken care of. We shall see. I have made records of their calls. If they continue I take further action.

They call and call and call. I usually dont answer but i answered it pi**ed off the other day and they stuttered for a moment and then hung up. I called back and told them i didnt apreciate that and they said i wasnt on thier list and it was a mistake. Now they are calling and calling and calling AGAIN. SO ANNOYING.

Getting repeated calls from this number with no message.  I owe no one that I am aware of.

Get a clue [***] and take me off your list like you said you would!!!!

oh get over yourselves. Bud hibbs is wrong, those people don't work ther and haven't in 5 or more years. We are recorded on every conversation and walked out if we violate because we don't want to get sued over bogus reports like the ones above. We are on lock down. Stop reading out of date sites and looking for a quick buck.  We all hit hard times and we all make mistakes myself included. But please, opening cards while on S.S.I, still using while unemployed, during divorce, etc. Your credit report tells the story. You can tell who really is going through it and who really is using they excuse that they lost their job 2 months ago but stop paying a year ago. What are you a medium or something? you stopped paying because you knew you were gonna loose your job. Oh and the scumbags who used hurricane katrina and 911 as an excuse when they stopped paying months before those horrible times happened. My job isn't easy, but it is rewarding when I can help someone out. We need credit to make the world go round people. Get it together!

What everyone should do is look up your congressman's phone numbers and e-mail addresses and send an e-mail or phone call to them EVERYTIME these slease-balls call you for a debt you don't owe!

Is this Azzie the collector again?  What country are you calling from.... it's "you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar".

Yes my credit DOES tell the story. I have A++ credit, and I just check all three credit bureaus to make doubly sure I have NOTHING in arrears... NOTHING... an you sleaze-balls keep calling.

We get daily calls from this number starting in the morning and continuing throughout the day. They never leave a message and hang up after the phone rings twice. Usually that is not enough time for us to get the phone even if we wanted to answer it

Just pay your bills and you won't receive phone calls from Collection Agencies.  Don't get in debt and be wise with your money.  Don't spend what you don't have.

No one at other end of line when call is picked up.  17 calls in one day!

It is ILLEGAL for them to use profanity, be abusive in their language, or call before 8 am and after 9 pm. if they do so i would immediatly ask for a supervisor (and have - just not with this co.) and INFORM them of THEIR rights....it may not work, but at least they will KNOW that you KNOW what THEY can or can not do. if they wont give you a supervisor, tell that person!!!!!!

in response to "me"....  HELLO?????? are you not READING these posts???? MOST of these people are receiving these collection calls on DEBTS THAT THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT....so who are you griping about? real bad debt or collection agencies that cannot do their jobs correctly????

in response to DEANNA.....follow the link in this post and take a click on contact us. the guy looks like he thinks he is a fed or something...obviously being a debt collector gave him some kind of complex or something...lol....seriosly though, there are some people who just should NOT work certain jobs....and if you look at their office locations .. you will see listed the place of ...INDIA... imagine that!!!!!!!!
