Received two calls back to back within 5 minutes of each other. I picked the handset up the first time and put it back down without speaking. The second time I decided to play a game. I answered in a high-pitched voice sounding like a deaf elderly woman. I repeated hello a couple of times for effect. The person asked for Roland Webster and I advised he had the wrong number. He thanked me and hung up. Now, I just have to wait and see if the calls stop or continue only this time for someone else. I have no outstanding debts past or present and pay all of my bills on time. And most of the time, in full.

This company has called asking for 3 different members of my family at 3 different times asking for their private information.

When they call, they never say anything or answer by saying wait for the next available customer service person.

I want this number to stop calling my 13 year old son's cell phone

yyeah they just called me...first off the name they gave me was no where near my name , second they called at 7 a.m.

So I called them back , spoke to a human. She asked if I was , XXXX XXXXX , I said no , I am not so please stop calling me. And to top it off the person they are looking for according to her,lives in Illinois, why the hell are they calling me in Wi?

Called my cell phone; left no message.  I pay my bills on time and do not have any accounts linked to my cell number (except the cell service itself).

They called and asked for someone who happens to have the same last name that I do.  When I said that that person was not at the same number, they asked for an alternate number.  I said that I did not have it.

I have been getting calls from this toll free number for months now, on my business number. I could never get anyone on the line when I answered, so I finally just called the number directly. I was connected to someone right away, who asked for someone I'd never heard of. He promised to remove my number (I didn't have a chance to ask.) We'll see if it works.

I too have received numerous hang-up calls.  Apparently they are harrassing me regarding my ex-husband.  I've been divorced over 20 yrs. ago. Can anyone help?

I just got a call from that number.  I will be laughing all day.  The person on the other end of the phone sounded like they at best completed the 3rd grade.  She could not speak in an understandable manner.  It was like listening to an ebonic version of pig latin.   After a few minutes of trying to figure out just what in the heck this lady was  trying to tell me I just hung up as I dont speak stupid gansta pig latin.

Just received a call from this 800 number for the 100th time....
They can keep calling till they get tired and realize it will NEVER be
answered.  Doesn't bother me a bit if they ring the phone....

Do all of you people have Caller ID?  Why do you pay for it if you don't
use it?  Caller ID is for screening calls and choose not to answer calls
you don't know who they are.  Any Tollfree number of 800 or any other
ID like Portfolio Recovery, etc....I choose not to answer...because what
they have to say wouldn't refer to any thing they try to get....I have
never been in debt...so they should not be calling.  Couple times  I answered the phone asking for people I don't know....Once burned, twice shy....even after I told them not to call and take my number off...they
don't...so they could keep on ringing...It's their money and time....the idiots....They'll tired sooner or later...in the meantime...Patience is a virtue....doesn't bother me a bit...

I never received a call from this company, HOWEVER, they sent my husband and I a letter in the mail.
It was addressed to "Military Moms and Dads" (we have no children)
The letter claims we have a package waiting for us at their company's warehouse and they want us to call their number (1-800-932-4873)
They call themselves "WEC-FG" and the return address on the letter is 1350 E. Flamingo Road, #686, Las Vegas, NV 89119

I have no intention of calling them, ever. Even more so after reading all the replies and seeing different company names, but I felt it might be good for others to be made away of their apparent letter scam too.

They called off hours.
That is a no no.
I've been logging their antics for a while.
I'll do everything in my power (which isn't much at this point) to put them out of business.

These people don't care if you're dying. I worked many years paying all taxes and debts.

Try to explain to these folks you had to give everything up because of health issues like cancer. "When can you start paying"?

I wish no harm to anybody. EXCEPT.... If these people die in their sleep, good riddance.

One other thing. They do not leave a message nine times out of ten.
They legally have to leave some sort of message stating their business and point of contact.

They want to get you on the phone to harass you.
Regardless if you have a debt with xxx company they (cough) represent they will not leave you alone unless you take corrective action.

This is the company that's using unscrupulous tactics.

File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.

Subscribing to the federal no call list doesn't help....

They called my residence today, and asked for a friend (who I know has many past due bills).  They were polite, but lied to me - they represented themselves as a "financial services company".  When I asked them if they were a collection agency, they answered "no".

If it costs a company every time their 800 number is called, an individual  could set up their computer to dial that number, make sure the other end answered, hang up, repeat. The computer could continue calling through the night which would make that company incur costs. One person doing this may not make an impact. Everyone doing this might. Just an idea. Not sure if it would work or even how to make a computer perform this task.

I am getting calls from this number and have no outstanding bills.  Others have reported this number as a Capital One collection agency.  No one speaks.  These calls are anoying as I am disabled and have a hard time getting to the phone.  Can I stop them?
