I received a call on my cell phone from "Ms. Charles" asking for my uncle who passed away 2 months ago. I haven't spoken to him in 9 years and somehow they found my cell phone number. Very creepy.

Called me wanting my daughter's phone number.  I would not give it. Gave me the above number ; said they worked 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.  ; Gave me a reference #, and a long extension # where my daughter could reach this person.

Sandy Balfour extension 63659 called me looking for a dead family member.  A member who left oweing NO ONE! How they gat my number , I don't know. I called back today to tell Ms. Balfour to delete my number from their list and she hung up on me.        

They called asking for a niece. No idea how they got my number. Told them no one by that name lives here

800-935-1798/ scam / no legitimate collections agency will threaten to prosecute you. The buy your information (unfortunately) from legitimate companies who sell it. Especially if your name is out there from past debt. They use this info against you to try and extort funds. I have been through this before, the best thing you can do is DONT ANSWER ANY 800 NUMBERS OR UNKNOWN NUMBERS. If it is someone important they can leave a message. DO NOT RETURN THEIR CALLS. Received a call, no one spoke.

I have received more than 30 calls from this company in the past month and a half. My phone is on the Do Not Call registry and they keep calling and leaving no messages. I have no clue who these people are.

I have all my calls sent to my interactive services and listed on my TV screen.  The idiots called twice.  And all you people who received a call--WAKE UP AND DO NOT TALK TO THEM.  THEY ARE FISHING FOR MORE PEOPLE TO THREATEN AND EXTORT MONEY FROM.  Do not even consider answering the call if you do not recognize the number that pops up on your phone.  They will put your number on their list and keep tormenting you until you accidentally give them a clue to your identity.  One thing they hate is you hanging up without saying a word.  Can you do that?
Yes you can.  Give them NOTHING.

Called and asked for my sister wanted her phone number said she was from UCB

Call frequently on my cell phone which I do not give out randomly. I have not answered because I do not know who it is and have blocked them. This bothers me because if they are a legitimate business the name should appear and better yet it bothers me that they have my cell phone number.

Called and didn’t leave a message

they called my ex- boyfriend from highschool, asking for my phone number.  in regrading to a personal matter. I called back no one answer the  line

Asked for someone not associated with my number.  Boiler room bill collectors.

Its a debt collector company called United Collection Bureau of 5620 Southwyck Blvd., Toledo, OH 43614.

They'll call you, your mother, your sister, your ex wife, your former employer, your dog, your cat, your neighbor or anyone who may know you remotely to collect on a debt. They are bottom feeding leeches, period....

I’ve never delt with Citibank so ppl may be posing as y’all to scam ppl better look into it.
