Melissa, sweetie...  listen to me.  You must be new to this scam stuff.  These are criminals.  They operate outside the law.  This website is a private website.  They aren't law enforcement, and criminals don't come here to see and heed your requests.  They wouldn't know who you are, just by a first screen name, anyway.  And that's a lucky thing.  Asking them nicely to stop will just make them laugh and put you back in queue, perhaps even share it with other scammers.  They want your money and they don't care who gets hurt, you need to become more defensive.  You need to make note of the CID they've used, and don't answer when you see it on your display.  Ignore those calls.  You're naive to think they know who you are, and they don't seek out this website, anyway.

You don't have to answer every call you get.  If a stranger bangs on your front door and demands that you let them in, you wouldn't feel obligated to even talk to them, let alone allow them in.  This is no different.  Stop answering, and stop begging them to stop calling.  Every time you talk to them, they put you back in queue.

They wouldn't know who you are here, anyway.  It's just a first name (and by the way, if that's your real name, I'd suggest you change it).  If you're at the movies watching coming previews, and the voice says "coming soon to a theater near you," do you really think that they're speaking directly to you, and know where you live, and what theater you're sitting in?  No!  So don't ask these outlaws to stop, on the phone or on this website.  It's ridiculous.  They don't visit here.  This is a website for community support, it's not law enforcement.

And don't make useless threats about filing for harassment.  They aren't really Chase, they're scammers who spoofed Chase's number, you can't find them.  They could be anywhere in the world.  They have the safety of anonymity.  They can't really hurt you, if you don't give them a speck of personal information.  The best thing to do is peek at your CID, and ignore their calls.  Or turn on your audible Call Screening feature and eavesdrop without picking up the call.  They hang up if you don't answer.

If the worst happens and the calls don't diminish (they usually do), you can consider changing your phone number...  some companies will offer that for free, if you're being harassed.  It's my experience, though, that these calls come and go in waves, they're annoying but not dangerous, and most of them give up after a while (and others take their place).  They can't get information from you, if you don't answer their call.  A criminal can't burglarize you, if you don't open your door.  Yeah, being awakened from a nap by these potatoheads pisses me off, but it's just the way things are, now.

It's war:  stop being so nice.  And use 800notes to verify the validity of the CID and decide how to handle it.

Seemed to be an Indian accent. Wanted my credit card number so they could "reduce my interest rate to below 6%." I strung the woman along for about 10 minutes.

After she finally hung up, I called the spoofed number back. I got a recorded message which said, "Welcome to Save Count Services. Please enter your 16-digit card number." I entered 1234567890123456 but the automated message said it wasn't a valid account number.

I reported it to to my call blocking service, which will put that number out of business for users of that service. Hahahahahah!

Too bad 800 notes won't publish comments that give the name of that service. I wonder why not.

"A criminal can't burglarize you, if you don't open your door." REALLY/1 What world are YOU living in where criminals wait for you to answer the door to "burglarize you" as opposed to just breaking in?
As for your suggestion that Mary change her username, why? Mary is one of the most common names in this country, if not in the world.
And suggesting she change her phone number is pointless. She'll still get scam calls from both scammers who call all numbers in a given sequence as well as any being directed at the person who used to have her NEW phone number.

    Keeping it real
This is a scam number spoofing chase bank. I see the comments many confused people they are routing their real number through a spoofed number. If you have real banking issues check your banks app. Banks rarely call people it’s mostly automated now so don’t let these guys scam you they mainly target elderly people because they don’t understand the methods they use to mask their identity.  Check your bank online or on your phone or just hang up the call and directly call your bank don’t fall for these pathetic crack head swindler scams

I received a call from this number, today. The recording says they will lower my credit card interest. If I do not respond, my credit card will be CANCELLED. That's a scary threat if I ever heard one. Called my bank, they said there is nothing wrong with my account, and they will not be cancelling my account. They said this is a scam to try to get my information.
