It is a scam. I have 2 capital one credit cards. Both with a zero balance. My cards are locked down I unlock them every few months, put a $10 to $20 charge on each, lock them immediately after, and pay those balances off in full before the due date. I keep getting offers in the mail for capital one auto finance but I have never had a auto loan through them, and do not intend to get one. I have one current auto loan that my payments are on auto pay each month, and the finance company is not Capital One nor is it affiliated with Capital One. I have never missed or been late on those payments either. I check all my statements each month as well.
I will call capital one customer service to find out why they called as no message was left. Either it was them trying to get me to sign up for a new auto loan with them or it is indeed a scam

I need to get set up to pay for my Subaru. I have tried to contact a bit because I like to avoid being late.

I blocked the #but they keep calling. Never had anything to do with capitol one.

it seems you are the scammer and you want to wash your hands with this response. there are fraudsters and there are robocalls , and its something going on for quite some time . so dont deny it and dont blame victims

"Rocket Scientist" may very well have been a shill for this scam, but they posted on 21 Nov 2008 (the date is right under their name) and never came back after the two back-to-back posts they made.  It is 16 years later and your rant will never be read by them, you might as well step outside and yell your rant into the wind, hoping that it will be carried to their ears.
