oh they call and call prepare yourself for a daily onslaught of calls, three sometimes four to five times a day until you pay.  And if you answer their calls, be prepared to have to repeat yourself over and over again.  Call center is not in the USA.

if they are truely telling your family and friends information about your account, then you should get it recorded. that is a major crime as far as collection laws.

It does not matter if you call them, because they do not mark the accounts with any messages.  You can talk to them till you are blue in the face. The worst of it is, if you are one day late they call.  They do not seem to understand that people have problems sometimes and that is the way it is.  I would never recommend them to anyone for a car loan. The worst thing is I do not believe their call center is here in the US at least not the one that call us. And they robo call as well, they never use the same number.

I have an east coast phone number for family use, I live on the west coast. so when they call me at 8am est, it is 5am pst. I got a 2nd phone number ported to my phone with a west coast area code. they will not stop calling the first number, when I tell them it is 5am, they don't care, they continue to ask questions. I have tried both extremes, trying to work with them and threatening them. they are in india, they don't seem to believe that the 'fair debt collections act' applies to them. (nor do they seem to know what it is).
if you feel the need to spout off about me needing to pay my bills on time, don't bother! I am injured and unable to work. (besides, these kind comments mean that you are either a debt collector trolling this site, or you are just an a$$ with no concept of real life).
other than a volentary repo, I don't know what to do.
5am is an inexcusable time to call anyone, period.
I just wish I could get them to call at a reasonable and 'legal' time.
if hsbc can fix their auto dialer, than capital one should be willing to do the same. - it just shows a true lack of respect for the law as well as their customers.

better check the telephone recording laws in your state. otherwise, the only 'major crime' will be when you go to prison  for illegal wire tapping. unfortunately, citizens get in a lot of trouble trying to prove someone else, (sleazy corporations) are breaking the law.
    please think before you act!!!

Keep calling 2 or 3 times a day. Leave messages about calling them for important information or they can help me. I don't have a car loan with them or anyone else.

I have never spoke with them because it's just a voicemail number that I never use or give to anyone so guess I'll just report them beause number is on Do Not Call list.

I have a "Privacy Corps" caller ID blocker.

You program ANY number in it and they don't ring the house.

Program for ex: 800#, and ALL 800 numbers are blocked. They still get into your voice mail but you wont know they are calling because your phone won't ring. Occasionally somebody uses a number that isn't programmed and it rings the house, but you just add it and it won't ring again.

This is the one I have:

I think for the most part Capital One should be sued for harassment.  I get these calls several times a day after bringing my payment up to date, I am being harassed for a payment that is only a few days past due.  I explained to the reps that they would get the money by the end of the month, but I am on a forever "return call" automated system.  As advised, I just placed all of there numbers on a "no ring" on my phone and ignore the call.

It is sad that this country has resorted to these types of business tactics that regardless if a customer is ill, under doctor's orders that they continue to harass consumers who are trying to pay their bills but are a few days behind.  I think a class action law suit should be in order!

Also, people who work for Capital One are inhuman and insensitive because regardless of what you tell them, they still do the opposite.  I feel sad for Capital One because they have to resort to these tactics of harassment..things must not be looking to good for them either.  I think I should report this to the BBB.

Yeah, a valid message indeed! I keep getting the calls and some of them is just a guy mumbling his first name and saying to call this # in order to verify your location. If it is a legal call, then the agent should leave his full name or at least clearly identify himself/herself AND state who the work for.

    A bit fed up
This number is for Cap One Auto finance.  It doesn't matter how many days late you are, 1 or more, this is their automated system that will call continuously throughout the day.

One night I tried to call back at 8:30 pm and the system said they were closed and that I needed to call back the next business day.  But lo and behold, at 8:50 pm that same night, they called me again.

When I finally talked to a live person, and arranged a payment, they stated that I would still continuously get calls until the payment posted.  What is so hard about stopping calls once an agreement has been reached?
