- Beth replies to SuzanneThanks for this info, Suzanne! I've been receiving calls on my cell every day since April 19, sometimes several calls a day. I never pick up, and no one ever leaves a message. That was really smart of you to call Discover Card and make an inquiry. If the callers were really from Discover, I'd expect them to know account holders' addresses, so I agree with your conclusion that this is a scam or phishing expedition. I'm going to continue not answering, and hopefully they'll get tired of calling.
- cbgsThis number calls at least twice a day on both my cell and home phone for totall of at least 4-5 calls a day even during my work hours. Very annoying! They never leave a voice mail or message and continue daily with the phone calls. My account with Discover card is also current and their number is different from this number that keeps calling.

- Mindy GarciaHas called 8 times in less than a week.
- I hope you go to prison, scammer replies to Steven| 5 repliesI believe this is a scam, Discover knows about it, and they don't care. I received a call, today, on 5/21/2012 from 1-800-951-0062, I could tell he was phishing so I gave him nothing. He promised to save me money on my payment and was asking for information over the phone. It seemed he was trying to get information to take money out of my bank account on file at Discover. He had information that he should not have had unless he was at Discover about my transactions. He had what could be seen at Discover after things such as routing numbers etc get truncated after entry so not even an employee can see them nor you if you log on. I also believe the website cardmemberassistance.com is involved and the phone number found there. If you mouse over the links at the genuine Discover site, you will notice that they all have "discover" in the URL. I went over at least 50 and never saw an exception. I have seen dates from 2011 connected to this number with people complaining. This number has been calling me for months. Today was the first time I answered. This means if this is a scam, Discover has known about it for a long time, and done nothing. They didn't even bother to email me a warning. My solution is to cancel my Discover card and never do business with them again. If they buy the debt from a bank of one of my other cards, I will cancel that one too.
- Mary replies to I hope you go to prison, scammerI just got 2 of them on my cell and I'm also on the "do not call list".
- Sick of This!!I called Discover directly and told them to stop these calls and hang ups. It is their number. They said "oh, our automated dial message does not always go thru". I told her ... STOP IT
- MichelleThey called my cell today. I didnt answer, but will not thanks to everyone who has stated it was from Discover (I have a card too). Im not on auto pay for a reason. Dont want to sign up either. Thanks everyone for the information.
- bobncatI have actually done this in the past. My rate was lowered drastically making it possible to pay off more of my bill quicker.
I picked the date and unfortunately only agreed to it for one year. Wish I would have agreed to 2 years that was offered about 6 years ago.
Ayway, if this is the same situation, it will be welcomed by me with pleasure. Anything to save money.- Caller: discovercard
- JackieThis number (blocked on my phone - I get one ring, they get a busy signal) has called me approximately 5 times a day Monday-Friday, twice a day Saturday and Sunday, for the last FIVE MONTHS. Do the math on the number of calls this is. All they get is a busy signal. This is beginning to feel like an episode of "The Twilight Zone."

- Who really cares?| 1 replyI am tired of Discover. They went ahead and changed my address without my permission and I never lived at the address. They continued to do automatic payments even after I requested they stop. I racked up fees on both sides, with Discover and my bank, and Discover had the nerve to say "O, thats between you and your bank." Even after I told them I would not allow them to do automatic payments again they wanted to offer me a savings off the late fees. They are crazy I will not give them another opportunity to over draw my bank and say "O, thats your fault" even after I request something. Bull. I will never do business again with Discover aftr I pay them off. I just want them off my back. I dont need a company like this, go pick someone elses eyes out

- This is Discover| 1 replyConfirmed by the discover fraud department, this is a discover number-legit per say... It seems to be initiated when you have went over your limit (even by a couple of dollars like I did).. They want to set up auto payments, you can request to not receive further calls by speaking to this number directly. For the record- regular customer service and even the first fraud agent couldn't find this number, it wasn't until I spoke with a fraud supervisor that I was assured it was in fact a discover card department.
F**k discover for being shady like this!- Caller: Discover

- NonameThese people have been calling all wk no messages left. Last night I picked up I was already in Bed watching TV. The lady I spoke to reminded me I was over my limit and did I want to do Auto Payments with Discover I said no I do not and I asked her why she was calling if my payment is not due until 6/1. She said we want to help you and I said Oh sure I bet you do. She said Mam just do an Auto Payment with Discover and I said Mam I need to get back to my TV program and I hung up.

- Courtney| 1 replyI have received 4 calls a day for the past week. I got voicemails saying that they wanted to save me money. I called the real number for Discover. They said it is not a real number. So I called the number back that had been calling me (800-951-0062) It sounded just like discover, except when she answered she wanted my full account number. Discover does not ask for your full account number when you call them. They only ask for the last 4, and an automated system asks for it, not a person. She said without a full account number she could not do anything. I told her that I had called Discover and that they said it was a scam. She asked if I called the 800-951 number for Discover. I told her no, that I called the real Discover phone number. She said this was a different department and she could not do anything without an account number. I told her to look up my phone number and remove it from her list. She looked it up and knew my name. Then she wanted my ssn. I told her no. She said without that information she could not share any information with me. I told her I did not want any information. She said She could not tell me why they were calling then. Then she asked me if I had an account with Discover. If she was from Discover she would know that I do. I told her that I know why they were calling... to save me money.... and that I was not interested. She said that was not the full reason why they were calling but fine she will stop the calls... then she hung up on me.
