They called and left a message to call them back. Really sounded legit and such, but when calling back, they instantly wanted my entire 16 digits of my account to "verify" me. No body does this. It's a scam. I hung up. I don't even see this number on the Discover site.

Discover Card... wanted to enroll me in DirectPay.

Called, but no message left.  After reading some of these entries, I will now block the number.  Thnx.

Received a call this morning at 8:23 am EDT.  Looks like call history goes back a lot of years.  No message left and I didn't answer.  Blocking number.

I called and told them I knew they were not Discover. Something like 30 messages from the last couple weeks.
The girl was silent and then fearfully said Ok... started to speak.
I said "Take into account the jobs you accept, little girl. This is not right for you. Get a new job."

WTF is wrong with people.

SCAM!!! I got the same call with message about my Discover Card. I contacted Discover (since I'm current on all payments/they have no reason to be calling me) and the rep I talked to said they have NOT been trying to get a hold of me and to block said number. Do not give them any info!

I got a call from this number (800-951-0062) both yesterday and today. I did not answer (don't answer from unknown numbers), and no voice mail was left either time. I Googled the number, and many of the comments I saw said it was Discover. I called the number, and it did answer as Discover Card. However, I called the Discover Card phone number stored in my contacts list (from the back of my Discover credit card), and they could find nobody trying to reach me for any reason from their company. I do not know for sure if this number is legitimate or not, but if you have a Discover Card and get a call from this number, play it safe and do NOT give out any information. Call them back at the number on your card, and find out what is needed that way. I'd rather make an extra phone call, than have my information possibly stolen by a phishing scam, because that would create a lot more than one extra call, not to mention stress.

Received a call at about 9:30 am today. No message was left & I did not call this number back. I believe it is either a telemarketer or scammer called to get my personal information. Will be blocking this number. If this was a legitimate call, then a message would have been left.

Call EVERYDAY more than once. I finally called Discover. NOT them.

I received numerous calls from this number claiming to Discover.
When I called the number on my Discover card there was no urgent matter with my account.

Today has been the "Toll free calls" day!! 5:19 PM CST and calls keep coming. All different #'s and all are 'toll free call' or unknown. Sure I am going to pickup the phone from unknown and toll free - yeah, BS!!!

They kept calling so I finally answered the phone.  They wanted my hubby and I asked who's calling. She said Brook.  If she can't tell me what company at the same time, I know it's a scam.  I told her to stop calling and not leaving messages and to take this number off their f$&king list.

They are calling from Discover to encourage you to set up auto-pay. You can call Discover and try to find out why they’re calling all you want, but your entry-level customer service representative is not going to know about every marketing promotion on your account. They have hundreds of departments and workers. They don’t ask for any information, they just confirm the last four of the account you have on file so they know to pull from the right one. They entice you with a $10 statement credit. It’s legit. I agreed - GASP! - and received an email confirmation from Discover. Checked my account online the next day and say it enrolled in auto-pay. Received the statement credit not long after. A few months later, I canceled the auto-pay. Now, they’re calling again to set it back up. That’s all it is! No need to harass these employees like they’re scam artists.

got a missed call from this number today. they left no message. they are now on my blocked list. don't have time for that :)

I received two phone calls in two hours from 800-951-0062, which shows on caller ID as Discover. I was on the phone for the first, but I answered the second call and no one spoke to me. I called the number back and rep wanted my card number or social security number, which I would not provide. I notified Discover online, and they replied, "In review of the account I am not showing any notes listed that we've tried to contact you. I also was unable to find the phone number provided in our directory as a listed Discover phone number. We certainly never advise to provide any account or personal information over the phone so glad to hear you didn't give anything out." SCAM!
