I got the call today. Strangely I thought I had entered to win a gift certificate to a grocery store, though admitedly I was at Octoberfest and didn't read the fine print. I'm supposed to attend the meeting Thursday night. Any idea if it's worth my time? I'm sure these people are looking to make their quick $18 and $65 and expect people to not follow through . . .but maybe it's worth it to actually follow through and take the prize?

The same thing happened to me, I thought it was for free groceries.  Any time there is a bait and switch like that, you know it's a scam!  I think I'm going to complain to Oktoberfest about the vendors they allow.

Yeah same deal from Oktoberfest, I was really looking forward to my groceries being paid for, for a long time. I'm disappointed, this sounds like a load of you-know-what.

Yeah I got a call for the same deal.  Only reason I bought it and called them back is because in they're message they named the festival I had just attended a week previous, and said I'd been drawn in a raffle from it (and I did fill out a raffle slip, but not for them).  When I called back the sales pitch for my "free gift" was so apparent that a told the guy it sounded like a scam.  He told me if I wasn't excited about the free vacation they were giving out, then he didn't want to give it to me.  I was fine with that.

I signed up for free groceries at a wedding expo, and just got the call from them.  After reading this, I'm definitely not calling back.  Thanks for the info.

We received a call from Superior Services (VI Passports) saying my husband won and the only thing I can think of is we signed up to win $1,000 Gas card at the RV show.  There was no fine print on the form that I saw.  I want to thank all of the people who gave there comments because we were to go to the 90 min seminar on Friday in Seattle and after reading the details especially from Malia on 9.15.08 and Dan on 9.18.08 I think we will spend our Friday doing something we will enjoy.
Thanks you guys, most things that sound to good to be true usually are as they say. The phone# on my caller ID was 253-939-6738 but the # to call back was 800-980-0304.

Got the exact same type of message from the same number on 10/03/08.  After reading all these comments, I'm not even going to bother calling back.  Thanks to everyone for their posts.

"Bobby", who answered that he was "Alphonso" when I called this evening--okay??! was outrageously rude, yelled into the phone several times at me, after he got frustrated that I had not received a gift card he was to have sent me 2 weeks ago--which was an act of kindness as recompense for my discovery that the $500 "free" gifts online shopping web-certificate was bogus--it costs as much to ship the items as they are really probably worth!  He was very nice last time we spoke, 2 weeks ago, but was an absolute beast this evening.  Believe me, the company is bonkers--this has been almost a year-long process getting them to make good on the "promised gifts and travel" since I attended an informational seminar there in Tukwila, and they seem corrupt.  They "lost" my $100 deposit for the travel offer that I'd sent.  I think it doesn't actually exist--they hope that people will forget they sent money in! I plan to report them to the Better Business Bureau and to the police.  Anyone else have similar difficulties?

Again it's Superior Services.  We had attended a Bridal Expo and thought it was through that.  We went last night and actually enjoyed our Rep.  He started off with how much the "free" items would actually cost us.  The moved on to some travel talks.

We actually liked the service they provide at a reasonable cost - if you have the money to spend.  My fiance and I signed up for it only because we could cancel in 7 days.  I wanted to do some independent research before but it was only a "1 night only" offer.  I threw some things back in their face and managed to get us more offers (1,000 off and a free flight to HI or Mexico).  We thought it was worth checking out since our Honeymoon would cost approximately the same thing.

After looking at the places you stay in through their associates, we decided it wasn't for us; we'll be canceling tomorrow.  Would be great, however, if we didn;t have the wedding and honeymoon expense or had a family to plan vacations for.

Well I went to the demo tonight actually! As far as the prizes go.. I guess i wont go for that but the actual time share deal is a good deal! My fiance and I are actually looking into purchasing it! Once paid for it is yours. Like a car or home.. You can even claim the purchase on your taxes  because you pay an extra fee each year, which changes depending on the package you get! As far as the demo it is not a scam but the other things I have no idea!

I think that it is bogus if I "win" something it should be 100% free no strings attached. I have also won and am suppose to go to this 90 minute seminar after reading your posting I am going to opt out...

I ditto everything Sarah had to say about VI Passports.  We have also attended other condo timeshare presentations like this and this was easily among the best.  Good fair-priced product, low pressure, good presentation, friendly staff, no complaints; however, details about the gifts offered were not "totally" explained over the phone...the "free" trip for two will cost you $355 for reservation & "other fees," the $40 limo-dinner coupon is really only worth $22 after you pay a handling fee, and we haven't redeemed the shopping certificate yet so I don't know what sort of fine print we may run into.

I just got a call from Superior Services to claim my prize I think I signed up at the Seattle marathon Expo for a drawing for $1000 prize of spa treatments can't say for sure. The prizes were $500 spending spree and all expenses paid vacation to the same sights mentioned above with the same ID requirements plus listening to sales chat. I'm going to let the Marathon Expo know about this because I would never intentionally go for a timeshare prize.

A lady named "Faith" Called me yesterday evening around six. Claiming that they had just drawn my name for some Fantastic gifts. I Immediately began to laugh as my sister got the same phone call. We entered at the Victorian Christmas show. Do they call all of the entry forms that are filled out? Do they really draw names??? I doubt it. I was very upset. When she said that my name had been drawn, then why are they trying to get me to go to a seminar. my sister did set up an APPOINTMENT.... but is planning on not going. its a scam, and if they do really give you these gifts than, there has to be hidin fees behind all of this... SCAM These people should get marketable job skills and stop scamming people.

Beware VI Passports and their "affiliates."  We were convinced to attend a seminar based on promises of "free vacation, "free dinner and limo, and "free" shopping trip.  Each false.  Very false.
The Attorney General's Office has a file on them.  They operate under various names.
Be aware they write their own positive comments on this forum.
I do not suggest you do business with them in any manner.

They have been doing this to a lot of people for a long time.  Please call or email Rosemary Pieper at the State Attorney General's Office (SeaCRC@atg.wa.gov) or (206 464-6686).  The AG's office is very slow to take action unless a lot of people contact them.  Please take a few seconds to do so.
