I saw a similar type of ad on craigs list....Sgt jerry Fleshman, price of a range rover 2003 only 4800 including shipping from the united kingdom....looking at all these postings this guy is using names of real people so he could be connected to the armed services.  There really is a Sgt jerry Fleshman in the air force and stationed  in the united kingdom...
I would never release any money unless I have the exchange done in person and had the car and all paperwork done....

I  also have a email from Jerry Fleshman he posted a car on craigs list....the price is too good to be true and I would never give any money without the car and paperwork leagally done.....Whoever this is they are using a real name of an air force sgt I googled the name and this guy is really stationed in the UK...Very werid

I had the same message from Sgt. Ryan Greer concerning 2005 Chevy Avalanche. I knew It was too good to be true but my husband wanted to pursuit the advertisment. After going on this site we quickly knew it was too good to be  true. I agree he definetly needs to be in jail everyone will not investigate before they send money.

The car has been well taken care of, always kept in the garage.Flawless exterior/interior condition,no scratches and no dents.It has never been involved in an accident.The engine starts and drives like new and the paint looks great.It comes with US clear title which will be signed and notorized in the buyer's name.Have original manuals and all keys.

WOW I need that infe he got my fam and we are after him

The same thing happened to me.I sent a moneygram for $4,850.00 for a 2005 chevy avalanche it was suppose to be shipped in 6 to 8 days of him getting conformation that the money was transferred to the so called ebay agent. well I'm definatley proceeding with fraud charges.

Well as much as I hate to say it I DID get scammed. But I am not stopping there. I have filed fraud complaints with the ftc, moneygram,ebay,the fbi and my local police. I sent 4850 for a 2005 chevy avalanche,like an idiot. hopefully eventually he will be stopped.

Almost a victim.......so the scammer by the name of Andrew McCoy posted a 2003 Jeep Wrangler for sale today (June 21, 2009) on Houston craigslist for only $4,000 claiming that he needed the money fast due to medical issues.  I googled his name and found this blog post.  I hope I do not get any trouble from him.  The email that he listed was mcoyandrewmc@gmail.com.  He listed a fake phone number (missing one digit) 213812519.  This is exactly what he wrote in his first email sent to me today:

"The 2003 Jeep Wrangler is 100% working and looking very good, has 55,036 miles,no flaws or dents,
no scratches or any kind of damage,no flood or wrecked and it has a US clear title,
the interior looks great.(the jeep is located in Ephraim , Utah ready to be shipped).
This is a regretful sale but unfortunately i need money for some medical problems ,
BUY IT NOW for $4000 because i want to close a quick and smooth deal with a serious person.
About the shipping i can tell you that will be done through DAS Auto Shippers and it will take no more than 3 days.
The jeep will be insured at the shipping company for the transport
and the shipping cost is free because my brother works at the shipping company and he has one transportation per year for free.
If you are still interested please contact me asap."

Come on people the reason no one bothers to stop this guy is because you have to be a complete fool to send money to strangers without having goods in hand.  Security agencies can't spend valuable time and resources investigating basic life lessons when the warning signs are already there.  I'm sorry for anyone who got scammed but if you had taken the time to step back from the situation and do your due diligence then you wouldn't be in the bed you rushed to make. Same thing today in Watertown, NY craigslist! This guy, "Matt Newman," is lazy... the ad was exactly the same except it's a "2003 Toyota 4Runner."

I actually started looking into these postings, he is using legitimate Vin numbers to match a vehicle, however he does not change his email handle. I submitted an investigation report to the FBI recently, with all of the data i could find on this person.
Perhaps if everyone could gather realevant information and get it all set up in an easy to read forum it would only help.

Now, when you google search this VIN number it will show up as a 2003 Range Rover, in perfect condition with a resale over 80k.

For future reference, there is no such rank in the Air Force.
I am a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corp. The Air force uses a different rank structure than most branches of the armed services.
Staff Sgt, Tech Sgt, Master Sgt-Are the only ranks that involve the word Sgt.

Just got scammed out of $15,000 by this idiot...any ideas on how to get the monety back?
