- sharI have the same $69.95 charge and NEVER use this debit card to purchase online - it is used for gas and groceries and usually at the same few stores all the time. I had the authorization go thru on 1/11/11 and the funds taken out today 1/14/11.
- Chris replies to Just Jo in AR.| 2 repliesI live in West Virginia and had this also happen to me. Same number in the amount of $69.95 on Jan. 11th 2011. Posted to my account on the 13th.

- G| 2 repliesOk, I work at a credit union and one of our members just sent an email asking about a charge from Peril Saint. The transaction was processed using the members debit card information. Unfortunately, there is no way of know how this "merchant" acquired the members debit card number. It may have been from an online purchase or could have been from a debit card scanner at a gas station or ATM. We have no way of knowing. Debit transactions are processed a merchant description. The description for this merchant is miscellaneous publishing and printing. I search the name Peril Saint through the Better Business Bureau and well as just a simple google search of both the name Peril Saint and the phone number associated with the transaction - 801-436-7616. No information was found on this merchant. I am going to recommend that this member just come into a branch to complete and affidavit of dispute to get her money back since she obviously not contact the merchant. If you have a debit card with the Visa logo on it then you can dispute the fraud through your financial institution and get your money back as long as you have attempted to resolve the issue directly with the merchant first. That is a guarantee by Visa. Your FI will have to cancel your debit or credit card and order you a replacement. It's not something we want to do, we know it's an inconvenience but it's the onyl way to make sure that no more fraudulent charges are processed on your card. Hope this info helps.
- Matt| 1 replyI just saw this charge on my personal checking account post on 1/12 for $24.95. I called my bank after finding this website, and they said this 'company' originally tried to charge $69.95 but it was declined due to non-sufficient funds, so they tried $24.95. I guess it's one of the only times i'm glad i didn't have a lot of money in my account. Anyway, they did confirm it was a debit transaction and cancelled my card and will reissue a new one for me.
Since I have only used this card for eating/gas in local areas in recent months, I'm not sure where they could have gotten it. I have used it for ebay, amazon, and other internet purchases in the past. I can only assume that some site that stores credit card information was hacked, since I don't see any common purchases in this forum, and it is such a wide location of victims. I'm in Arkansas.- Caller: Peri Saints
- Just Jo in AR. replies to MattWhere In Arkansas?? Wondering If we might have used the same gas station or business. I live in the West Memphis area.
my bank asked me to file a police report. will credit the money back when I do. - KP replies to Tickedoff| 1 replyHello Everybody.
RedBox, dvd rental, must have a leak!!!
Other than using my debit card at the market/gas stations, I rented a dvd from RedBox. This must be how they got my debit card number.
Did anyone rent a DVD from Redbox lately or a business out of your normal routine? - KP replies to TickedoffI rented from RedBox, DVD rental. They must have a leak.
- cemesmyleI too had a charge from this PERIL SAIN posted to my account 01/13/2011. When I tried to call the Ogeden UT number, it beeped twice and disconnected. Totally freaked me out, call the bank and now I'm stuck with $15 change fee, and to be without my card for the next 5-7 business day! How convenient eh, three day weekend. These guys suck!!

- Amy| 3 repliesI don't use this account often and just now checked it. I have a $24.95 charge from 1/12/2011 listed as Peril Saint. I only use this card on VERY rare occasion and the only common link to anything listed on this forum is Red Box. Unfortunately, the banks are closed today due to MLK day, so I will be calling them first thing tomorrow, but I am going to try to contact RedBox to see if there have been any leaks in their security. The last movie I rented was a about a month ago, but that is the only thing I can think of that could have had this account number.
