I have never used mine at Redbox or KFC....not sure that I ever used it anywhere than a few local places for gas, groceries, or ATM.

I am located in Louisiana.  I have never rented from redbox.  I have no clue how these people got my account information.  This was an account that only had .01 in it b/c I just hadn't made it to the bank to close the account and now I've got this 24.95 charge and a 35 overdraft charge!!  The only way I found out about it is because my bank sent me a notice of overdraft charge!!  I do not remember ever seeing this number on my home phone or cell phone.

69.95 jan 12th 2011 from my card from peril saint,bank is giving me the run around,not sure what to do from here.....

it happened to me...you would think if a person has a number it could be tracked,unless its a cell phone that has no plan....im sick of this...it has happened to me 3 times by the same people but no one can say who they are or find them....

went through the same thing...i was on the phone for 4 hours BUT i did get it resolved....just keep on the bank.....

I found a charge on my Visa credit card for $69.95 by Peril Saint, UT. Called the number and got only a beep. Contacted my bank and am disputing the charge. I am getting tired of people trying to scam innocent people!!!!!!!!!!

My husband just opened his credit card statement and there was a charge for 69.95 from Peril Saint with the same phone number as everyone else from 1/12/11, just noticed it now 1/19/11.

He is on the phone with the credit card company and they are canceling his card and issueing him a new one, this is with Chase.

We are in IL, it is surprising that it has it all over the states in a short amount of time.

It can't be RebBox because we don't rent DVDs from there.

$69.95 on my charge bill.  Called the above number and get a FAX signal apparently.  Have no idea what this is for or how they got my card number.  Received no phone call.  Will stop payment with credit card company.

I got charged 69.95 too.  It sucks.  I just emailed my bank to dispute the charge.  How does this happen?

Same as everyone else, I called the number on my statement and there was a single beep then silence. My bank just had me download a fraud affidavit to fill out and fax back to them. And they just canceled my Visa and are sending me a new card so hopefully this won't happen again. The customer service rep with whom I spoke said she has not seen that (generic) fraud merchant before so this may be a newer one.

Definitely don't think this is RedBox, but curious to know how these scammers have obtained CC info.......

From Seattle; 1/13/11, Peril Saint charged my Bank of America debit card $69.95; Peril's contact number is 801-436-7616 from Utah. No one answers, only a couple subtle beeps then silence. Bk/Am assisted me in filing a claim against Peril Saint and is returning the amount to my account and will not take that from me if I fill out their forthcoming affidavit within a certain timeframe. I had to verify my bank account number plus the last four digits of my SS #. Meanwhile I must destroy the debit card and wait about 10 days for a replacement card with a new account number -- plus use cash or write checks until I have my replacement card. NO I have never used Redbox, and NO this same fraud did NOT occur to my other bank account which is with Wells Fargo and I use that account a lot. I used Paypal once in the last half year, and I recently updated debit card data into airmileage dining plans. I think I shared some info with a fine coffee appliance website. The gas we buy on our cards is Costco, Safeway, and Union 76; have bought gas from Fred Meyer maybe twice in the last year. Maybe Peril Saint got numbers from holiday shoppers?

I have a charge of $69.95 from the same number and name, Peril Saint, on my 1/14/11 bank statement.  I called the number and just heard a couple of beeps.  I Googled Peril Saint and found a website for Smart Homeowner in Saint George, Utah.  The phone  number on my bank statement is from Utah.  I called the contact phone number for Smart Homeowner magazine that was mentioned on the site.  They were just the publisher of the magazine and didn't know immediately who in Utah was having them publish the magazine.  They haven't published the magazine for a couple of years.  They are checking for some information that might help get to the bottom of this and will get back to me.

recieved bank charge for 24.95 also from 1/11 just checking on it and call with only beeps and went charge thru my acct. what in the HECK.. is this and no way to stop or track it??????

Same scam on credit card for $69.95 on 1/13/11. Can usually get money back  if you file  a "Disputed claim" with the issuing credit card company, Credit Union  in my case.

Same thing happen to me.  $ 69.95 charged on my credit card on 1/11/11.  This is considered identity theft.  I did not authorize this so called company to charge me this amount.  This is a "Disputed claim" and I am sure that I will not be liable for it but it is starting to seem like this happened to a lot of people. I know that the credit card companies are insured but in the end they are in the business to make money and not loose money so at some point the consumer will pay for it one way or another.  Hope this gets resolved soon!!!

Has anyone filed a complaint  with IC3 yet???
