We have a blocker on our Caller ID for this number -
so when they call us they hear -
"I am sorry we are not accepting calls from this number" -
but they keep calling.  

32 times in 2 weeks.

There is a person on this blog who clearly works for the organization; ignore the cowardly insults and exercise your right to privacy.

I RECEIVED A CALL THIS MORNING FROM THESE JERKS - NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY HAVE CALLED.  I DON'T ANSWER"OUT OF AREA" OR UNKNOWN #s.
I QUICKLY LIFT THE RECEIVER AND JUST AS QUICKLY PUT THE RECEIVER BACK DOWN.  HOPEFULLY THEY'LL THINK THAT MY LINE IS NOT IN SERVICE.

AOPA is the Airplane Owners and Pilots Association. If you're a member and your membership is about to expire they will call relentlessly.

they call us every night at  830 pm

My membership with aopa just expired so ad above submitter they are now harassing me to renew.

My AOPA membership expired recently.  These folks are calling nightly and never say anything when I answer.

Received a call, recorded message.  Filed a complaint with the BBB

They called and asked for my ex-husband who hasn't used this # in 10 years. The caller stated he worked for a charity my ex supported but for confidentiality reasons, he couldn't reveal which one.

Yeah, right. And they're using a phone # he hasn't used in 10 years!

It's not "cold calling". They are provided lists by the group they are representing. I worked there in the 80's.

It is a legitimate business that grew out of Common Cause in the 80's. I worked there, at P.I.C., from '88 until '92. While you may find some of their tactics objectionable, there is nothing illegal or "scammy" about them.

"Real charities" have been hiring outside, professional fund raising help since the 1960's. I've worked for so many of them I can't list all of their names here.

This is a legit fund raising outfit. Calm down, have a drink of whatever turns your crank and take a couple of deep breaths.

I wouldn't give a dime to commercial fundraisers.  Check with the Attorney General's office in your state and get the list of what percentage of the money actually makes it to the charity.  I alway give directly to charities of my choice and NEVER give anything to telephone solicitors.  Don't encourage them.  It's telephonic SPAM!

I have gotten several calls from this number. The first time u called the number back and it said to leave a message with my phone number to get removed from the list. I did this and the calls never stopped. I got another call this morning, I was able to answer it this time. The man on the other end asked for me, I asked who was calling he gave me a mans first and last name and again asked if I was Kristy "x" I then asked where he was calling from and he hung up on me. I'm sick of getting these phone calls! They need to stop, they are making me nervous.

They call every day...two or three times a day.  Once when I did answer the guy asked to speak to my husband...said his subscription to AOPA had expired and he needed to call to renew.  Then when my husband did answer they told him they needed a valid credit card since the one they had on file was no longer valid.  As if he woudl be stupid enough to give them a credit card!!!  My husband called AOPA and they said they do not use outside companies to renew subscriptions.  TOTAL SCAM!!!  They continue to call and when I finally answered to tell them to remove our number, the person on the other end wouldn't answer when I said hello, yet I could hear them typing in the backgound...after about 10 seconds, they hung up.  Very irritating!

So who's making it worth their time to do this?  SOMEbody's gotta be giving up the cash.

This number started calling me when my AOPA membership expired.  They try to offer you swag for renewing.  I have an Android so I just put them on the "blacklist" and never heard from them again.
